Failing First Mastery Test

The problem I'm having is because, no matter what, I end up failing the mission as soon as I have two enemies left in the first wave. Is there a time limit? Am I not allowed to miss more than x times? Am i not supposed to take x amount of damage? Any help would be appreciated.

Time limit. Just aim for the head and remember you're allowed to run around. Some people think you have to stay in the circle.

I thought that too, but wasn't having a problem. I was one-shotting everything anyway. Not sure why.

Initially, I thought I had to stay within a certain boundary (as the failure message would come once I was far away enough from the circle).

 

I guess I'll just need to rank up my gear first.

Did you buy a sentinel?  You can't use them in that test, as you have to get all the kills yourself.

 

If not, don't wait for them to get to you in the middle of the pillars, but go looking for them as the timer is tight.

I failed the first test more than any other because my gun was too weak. It wasn't until I found decent mods that I could kill the enemies quickly enough to beat the timer.

No, I don't have a Sentinel.

 

It seems I just need to rank my Primary gun, and kill them as fast as possible.

 

Another question: do all the waves share the same timer, or does each wave have its own timer?

Buy the Braton from the market; it is an upgrade over the Mk-1 version.  This should help you pass MR1.  As for MR2, purchase the Aklato or upgrade the Lato to a Bolto.
