More Of A Computer Question...

Question

So I wanted to improve my gaming performance on Warframe (I tend to lose some frame-rate in OD) by cleaning my computer up like usual, except this time I want to be thorough. I've been going through the Uninstall control panel and removing most programs and old games I no longer use, or that are just sitting around.

Next I plan to clean the %temp% folder.

And lastly, a defrag to end the day.

However I was wondering if there was more I could do? A program that goes through that removes things I might of missed, programs, folder, etc. that are just laying around?

Note: I'm broke atm so I can't spend money on one if that's suggested.

Edit: Processor- AMD A4-3420 APU Radeon HD graphics 2.80 GHz

 Ram: 3.49 GB / 4 GB

well doing this wont improve any performance on your gaming experience anyway however

Services.msc

msconfig

will help you get to disabling none essential software that bloats your system and hides with a sneaky automatic startup , so get those things fixed

i would recommend downloading Ccleaner as its a good registry managements tool as we as an advanced uninstaller for those that hide or you just possible cant remove

removing temp. files wont do anything really as it only improves your casual experience on a computer as in browsing internet and lading windows etc

if you want to get technical Speccy is pretty decent , but you will need to know what you are doing or you will mess up your system

If you wanted to be REALLY thorough, you could always do a clean install of your OS. I did that a while back after I got a nasty virus that was effing up my performance.

always the best doing a re-install of your OS as its like brand new and performance is amazing , sad i cant do it cause i lost my 120Gig external HD

and well its a HP system so a factory reset is in order :D

Re-install my OS? Hmm. Would I need an external to put my important programs on (warframe..etc) to prevent them from being lost?

Ccleaner worked like a charm! Thank you very much! Was surprised on what it found lurking around.

And so did Service and config

your basically wiping your system of everything and reinstalling the default OS eg. win7 etc

having a external hard drive is handy if you dont want tor risk browsing on a unsecure browser *Cough IE5 or something like that*

having a external HD i really only best if you want to carry over stuff you dont want to spent years regretting , like i want to carry over my movies 340+ GB's worth as well as pictures that ive amass't from deviant art and other places , i like a big collection of wallpapers and concept art as well as designs etc because im graphics designer :D so i need inspiration

Ccleaner just helps clean anthing thats blocking / filling up your registry , if your not tot tech savy and dont know anything about what you are deleting its totally fine

however like me i need some registry's intact so i untick a couple of options so it does not detect them , but nether the less it will help you in times
