Ishteen Posted April 7, 2014 Share Posted April 7, 2014 I hit up a Moon clan's dojo for a trade earlier today, and what I saw made me insanely jealous: Cross Connector Reactor Clan Great Hall Clan Hall To my understanding, these rooms are remnants of the older dojo tileset from pre-Update 10. Newer clans must make do with the current tileset, which replaces much of the intricate detail with simpler visuals. From a canonical standpoint, this makes sense - the Tenno, after all, are unable to replicate luxurious Orokin architecture, hence their pathological use of (disgusting) fluorescent light. Whether or not this is the official explanation for the removal of the old tileset, however, is something I don't know (and if someone has the source and can link it that'd be fantastic). My question/suggestion, then, is this: Could there be some way to reimplement the old tile visuals? Perhaps by "upgrading" a basic room, or unlocking the ability to craft these rooms through extensive research in the new Orokin Lab? It's a shame to let such beautiful work go to waste, I think. Stormandreas Posted April 7, 2014 Share Posted April 7, 2014 The official reason is because the old tileset didn't fit with the "new" grid system... no lore behind it.Everyone got kinda annoyed when they took out the old look of the dojo, and that's why I refuse to re-design my dojo, as the old style is MUCH nicer than the new, flat, corpus style tiles. I must agree, I am so proud of all the halls I made the old way but with all the new additions coming in the new style is infecting it, like a plague. I wish they could just resize the old way. Yes please. I love the grid-based tiles we have now, but I prefer the old look as well. This would be a great use for the Orokin lab. Are there any tech limitations that put a damper on such upgrades? And if that is the case, what are the chances of similar-looking decorations making it in?
