Clan Emblem Feedback

Hello fellow Tennos!

 

A few days ago some very nice members of this forum helped me with my first attempt of a clan emblem, and after I had a talk with my clanmates we more or less agreed on a new, "more original" design (as the ancient Greeks said, there is nothing new under the sun) which I think is nice and original:

I have just read Holyicon's post and in consequence I have eliminated as many glows as I have been able to, but I am no photoshop master and I am afraid that if I upload it as it is, it will look awful.

 

The emblem is an ouroboros, (more info here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ouroboros), we wanted a circular emblem and I thought that the ouroboros would look great, since we Tennos are the defenders of the universe. According to the alchemists the colors of the ouroboros are green (for creation) and red (for destruction), and thus the dragon (or snake) is red whereas the planet he is devouring while eating his tail is green. And of course, I am very fond of the lotus and I also think she is very hot so I included the lotus flower and the name of our clan.

 

I am already thinking about softening the letters (which are surrounded by red, put perhaps the red will mask the black letters) or perhaps eliminating all the red surrounding the letters, but I would like to hear from experienced warlords (again, Holyicon's post has helped a lot) and from everyone who is willing to give their opinion. So far the community in the official forums has been very nice!

 

PS: I am also afraid by copyright. Is it alright that I took the lotus for the emblem? Should I strictly add the lotus flower we are given in the fankit or can I add things from devianart and other sources?
