Ehh Thats A Tuff One Depending On The Enemies Your Fighting Cause Paris is Puncture and Dread is slash but to me Dread Wins Over All Cause Slash Damage Effects All

most prefer dread becouse they think dread looks better some think the prime looks better..

they both have the same states over all.. and really there is no better..

maybe mabe statewize the paris prime is just a tiny bit better but really no difference..

This argument has been going on forever

 

Because Puncture for PP it is stronger against heavy grinners, ancient infested, and I think fusion moa

Slash is better for lighter grineer units,infested, and humanoid corpus crewmen

 

however, I typically pick PP simply because if you work towards killing heavy units, you can kill anything under that, regardless of faction

This is just me and it all depends on your playstyle, what you prefer to fight, ect

I have my PP with 1,088 puncture and I can one shot majority of the enemy units in game, the higher level heavy units usually take 2 shots to take down. I also have 2,448 radiation that works with no problem.

My crit chance is 112.5% so pretty much I am crit every chance I hit someone.

 

I Love the PP over the Dread any day.

dread looks better stat wise, because you can just straightly build for radiation damage and able to do great damage to grineer heavies/bosses. but of course at the end of the day PP is better for grineer, but dread is easier to use if you are not looking into min maxing.

and also dread is... somewhat easier to get if you are not buying PP from other people, because you wont be farming parts on the void with keys that only be required by rng drops. so paris prime is RNG behind RNG, and for stalker you can farm boss until you get the mark, then keep playing with other people and hope stalker appears.

also, for the polarity

dread = VV

PP = - V

due to the polarity, dread is easier to build for max damage, while PP is easier to build for general usability.

My 2x Forma dread can still oneshot heavies. And the fact is bleed works on everything:)

 

Dread with corrosion and you have a great all around weapon

I have both.  When you add on the crit mods and rank 8 Serration, both will kill every on the maps and in the Void without catalyst.  Whether it is puncture or slash damage, it makes little difference in killing.   Those are more for the killing animation effect.  Pinned versus cut in half.  Maybe going past rank 40 enemies it might show a difference and then a catalyst is needed.  The bows are just that powerful. Just aim for weak spots.  

 

As I currently only have one catalyst, I'm trying to decide between Paris Prime and Marelok.   Will likely be Marelok since the Dread has a catalyst and you really only need one bow. I think I'll just apply 2 forma to the Paris Prime and that will be more than enough since it already has two polarized slots.
