TennoSimons
Have you been frustrated with feeling like a small, insignificant speck in a large, impersonal or ugly dojo? Can you relate to the following: You have found yourself having to wait for clan research because the oxium (or other relevant resource) demands are too high and there are not enough active members in your large dojo to farm it in a timely fashion? Especially in this new era of already having to wait three days once research has been started on a Tenno reinforcement before you can even acquire of BP and begin crafting, such delays are incredibly frustrating. Joining the Tennonite Ghost Clan may be the solution to your Warframe woes! About Tennonites: Tennonites are an intentionally small, community-minded, relaxed Ghost clan. The watchwords here are kindness and community helpfulness. Needless to say, the dojo is fully equipped with trading post, obstacle course, dueling room and all research is complete. I have designed and payed for our own Clan emblem. Clan priorities: 1) First and foremost, the Tennonite imperative is to get all the new gear and gameplay functions in the hands of our clan members as soon as possible. I am vigilant on Wednesdays to start research on a given clan tech item or build new rooms with new functionality (e.g. trophy room) as soon as they are available. This is the main reason I aspire to remain a ghost clan: as a ghost clan, I can guarantee that I can assume the costs (be they in forma or any other resource) since I have such a wealth of components. If you, like me, want to get your hands on all new things warframe as soon as possible, Tennonites may be the clan for you. 2) A secondary mandate is to build a supportive community to help fellow Tennonites achieve their Warframe goals. As a Mastery level 15 maxed out Veteran, I have every available weapon and multiple copies of lots of prime gear. I am happy to freely give copies of prime bps and mods to more novice clan members, and I encourage all Tennonites to be generous. I am formerly of Lone Rangers, a solo, independence focussed clan, and I retain that independent spirit. You are not going to be compelled to participate in any event or mission that you don’t want to. My goal is to help you realize your own Warframe goals and ambitions, not (as I have heard is the case in some clans) to get you to help me with mine. 3) A tertiary raison d’être is to blend into Warframe Lore and strive to impart a sense of lore-belonging to the clan members. Tennonites takes lore (indeed, Warframe itself) seriously (don’t worry – not too seriously) and realize that part of the fun of playing is the dimension of role-playing. With this in mind, I take lore considerations into account when it comes to clan decisions and planning. E.g.: the dojo decor and clan emblem has spiritual, earth-lore-harkening decorations drawn for world religious traditions, including Buddha statues, Yin Yangs, Mar Thoma lotus cross, incense containers, Baizhong and carrion full octave bell and percussion structures, full Taiko drums sets ) drawn from world religious traditions against the backdrop of a strong seasonal, green and watery nature motif. In non-Warframe life, I am a bit of a lore buff as well. Bonus points to folks who spot the allusions of my username and our clan name. Note that such considerations have less priority than the first two guiding principles : 1) getting the best and newest stuff into the hands of clan members and 2) Respecting flexibility of clan members to pursue their own respective goals. Therefore, when it comes to an event like the Gradivus dilemma, though there could conceivable be some lore argument for the clan to side with one faction or the other, since the choice of sides in this case would have an impact on the reward, Tennonites would not pressure you choose one side. Lore wise- Tennonites are a small but Virtuous clan, dedicated to fighting for the sake of the meek, the downtrodden and all innocent, sentient beings. We embrace the ancient virtues of wisdom, humility, compassion, mercy and courage. We endeavour to be helpful to other Tenno, and ever respectful: even if they are on the wrong side of a solar rail dispute. Our Dojo: The design philosophy is that the Tennonite dojo should be a beautiful, calming, fun and appealing place to be (while you wait for your clan tech gear to be developed), and getting around it should be a pleasant experience. The garden rooms are arranged with a seasonal motif. The Dojo has NO boring corridor rooms (instead it uses each kind of garden), and it has NO elevators, so you won’t have to sit around waiting to get anywhere. I want Tennonites to share my satisfaction of having a beautiful dojo with some fun, interactive things to do in it. Correspondingly, many rooms have full octave sets of eight drums or bells (or both!) to make music. Decorations are employed judiciously with a mind to maximize aesthetic appeal. Crucially: we are also poised and ready for update 13 with space allotted for all of the new rooms (various gardens, observatory, trophy room, orokin lab, etc). What we are not: 1) Demanding of your time or headset-requiring. I understand that not everyone has the same amount of free time or schedule. While I encourage in-clan cooperation (particularly during events) I don’t require clan members to quest together, or have headset microphone chat or any such thing. Since we are a very small clan, I ask that members try to be active (completely inactivity over a prolonged period of time could result in eventual shunning to allow room for an interested new player). But again, my goal is to give you space and the resources to do what YOU want. If you want to be part of a clan that sets your schedule and expects you to quest x times per week, Tennonites may not be the best fit for you. 2) We do not aspire to be huge. Part of the impetus to starting my own clan was the realization that with resource scaling, I could get research done faster on my own than with a huge clan. While you are welcome to help out and contribute to the vault for future dojo constructions (especially if doing so gives you a sense of satisfaction), you are neither required nor pressured to. Because of 1) an emphasis on remaining self-sufficient and maintaining low-resource costs and 2) a desire to foster an intimate, jovial and friendly clan atmosphere, I don’t see Tennonites ever growing very big. Furthermore, remaining small may afford greater autonomy to make and switch or drop allegiances as we see fit. While I can guarantee you a dojo with ambition and splendour to match any Moon Clan’s, I don’t see us growing any bigger than a shadow clan, tops. If that. For now, I am looking for no more than nine active, Warframe loving players. If you want to eventually be part of a clan with many dozens or hundreds of clan mates, Tennonites may not be the best fit for you. 3) Trolls, hot heads or bullies. Disrespectful remarks or attitudes will not be tolerated. Mean-heads will be shunned! We are intentional about fostering a climate of good will and helpfulness. If you have no problems with disparaging another member of the community because he or she is too slow for your rushing ways, or because they are not as skilled or experienced or powerful as you, then Tennonites will not be a good fit for you. How to join: Send me a message on this board or an in-game whisper (I am online a lot) to make your interest known. I will be in touch! Feel free to post questions or comments right here in this topic. Edited April 9, 2014 by TennoSimons

Croxot
Yo. Been drifting solo for a few updates and I realize I've started to miss a lot of the clan-exclusive stuff (even if I couldn't really attain it in my old storm clan). I'm always a fan of small tight-knit clans/guilds in games, so this sounds like my kinda style. Color me interested, I'm wondering if I may join. -Thanks
