LoGicMoTion
Can I ask a simple question? Is it absolutely necessary for a clan to have teamspeak? I have 100+ members in my clan we all are on actively some of us have mics some of us don't some of us speak in game some of us don't. Some people that message me are so rude when I tell them we don't have teamspeak like I have just committed a felony. So my main question is does you're clan absolutely need teamspeak to prosper? It can't be that serious.
RoboDoge
My clan has Teamspeak, but we dont use that. We just type what we need, and we didnt have any issues doing missions of any kind. When you have good players by your side, you can trust them without speaking to them. TS isnt necessary at all.
OniDarkClown
have it, don't have it. its all just up to personal preferences. Clans get along fine with out it. same as the ones the do. People are idiots. Best to add them to the /ignore list. I don’t think you would have much fun playing with them anyway.
Psycho1848
If u have +100 Members a Ts3 Server necessary in my opinion because not all are in the same Lobby and not everyone use the Chat or just recognize it inGame and it´s much more easier i think to communicate. Ourobor
Teamspeak is a tool to make your life easier. If people are being nasty to you, that isn't teamspeaks fault. I find a large part of my enjoyment from my clan comes from the teamspeak server because I can just hang out with people while playing and it's nice. For my experience with my clan, it's absolutely necessary.
Deadmice
Yeah I wouldn't think that warframe would need a Voip program, I mean you can get through a 16 man raid in other mmos using only ingame text soooo... It just comes down to if you wanna be able to speak no matter what you're doing in game with more than text.

avinity8
I been bugging the leader of the clan I'm in for a teamspeak or other free voice chat for awhile. Even just got finish having a discussion on it hour ago. So many ppl are shy, Lol. As I always say, you dont have to talk but it's but easier for those that dnt want to type while playing. TS (any voice chat) makes things so much easier. Communication is key. In MMORPGS generally most clans have ts/etc, it's a must in battles, intense fights/raids/DGs/etc. Even doing weekly maintenance we hang out on ts and socialize. Again, even if you dont wanna talk, just being there and being able to hear others talk is still essential. Up to the person but imo I prefer ts/etc. Sucks ppl dont even use the free voice chat that Warframe has, more often. I seen this in Hawkens and beta Titanfall too. PVP oriented game where voice chat is easily vitally important to coordinate. People rather do their own thing now a days. Which leaves top clans free to stay tog clans withno challenge since lower clans lack the harmony, organization etc etc (no, not because of non voice chat, making example) I'm so hunger Im typing a mess up, excuse typos, etc lol

I'd take it as a sign that they are the type of player you DON'T want.
KentReeves
It can't hurt to try it. Also, if you don't want to set up a server you could always use skype (or another, similar program.)
DietEbolaCola
My clan teamspeak is very active. It is much more organic about forming groups to do runs with on the fly, then we drop down to a squad room together, and are good to go. We also have allied clan members drop in when their clan is less active to do runs with, and for our clan giveaway events over teamspeak (you can have more than 1 instance going at once, so they can use theirs and ours at the same time). There was a forum post awhile back with a guy that set up a free teamspeak server for warframe clans to use.. not sure if that is still a thing or not.. PS. Teamspeak has text chat built into it as well, so not having a mic is no excuse not to use it for clan gatherings. PPS. It can make cross-gaming play better too, whether your clan operates across multiple games as guilds or not. For example, if you are playing a game other than Warframe (heaven forbid) you can hear clannies forming groups for alert missions while you play, drop out of that game, and then fire up Warframe to join them.
