Aishi
DE needs to step the hell up and fix Lua/Earth Interception. We did our part, time for them to do theirs.
DavidSPD
Not sure voluntarily voting for a game we like entitles us to anything. Not against fixes, but I don't think using this victory as "leverage" to get what we want will really go anywhere.
DJ_Redwire
Weeeell, speaking of them 'doing their part', it's likely the reason we were able to make the huge turn around that we did was because they put the vote link in the launcher sooo you could almost say that the victory was made possible by DE in the first place. Aishi
It's not necessarily what >we< want as the majority of forum goers are probably long past Earth, not to mention well geared to carry themselves through it.Simply put, Earth Interception is often a dealbreaker in terms of new player progression and it comes quite early into Warframe. Leverage or not, with how events played out and the free publicity that a popularity contest comes out as the underdog won will definitely attract players. New players. Just putting 2 and 2 together, if there's ever a time to fix a seemingly unbalanced aspect of progression in the early game, now is pretty much the perfect time. I simply want a warmer welcome for our new Tenno. And don't start with the E word, the entire system is a give and take, DE uses us as a means to get their game known and attract more players, we as players show them reciprocated support and the cycle continues. Neither side has to act out from entitlement, but it's simply what is the norm as a a relationship between devs and the player base from a completely neutral standpoint, nothing more, nothing less. Not against fixes, but I don't think using this victory as "leverage" to get what we want will really go anywhere. i doubt it is what WE want because "we" don't have any problem with Lua and Eurasia, i think that OP means that it would be wise to give new players a better first experience, and i agree with that, because "we" would not really benefit from that fix, actually it might be the opposite, i have seen people farming those spots for rare materials just because its easy to kill hordes of higher level enemies, so, before you clad in your white knight armor, think again, then think carefully, then develop a critically useful point of view, then you share it. RoboDoge
Interceptions are a bit overkill for low ranked new players. DE should really tone them down.
Spellbinding
It's not a matter of what we deserve, its a matter of making the game friendly for newbies.

If it wasn't for the voice of the Lotus... that eery voice in the back of our minds telling us all to vote it would have never been a victory. You have the Lotus to thank for your victory. Ishki88
Is Inception THAT BAD? WTF. I'm going to do a stress run of Inception in a hour or so
RoboDoge
Is Inception THAT BAD? WTF. I'm going to do a stress run of Inception in a hour or so It is if you are using nonpotaoted Excal and nonpotaoted Mk-1, Lato and Skana. New players find them self infront of an wall, if there is no high rankers who can help them. Edited April 8, 2014 by RoboDoge

Anatolius
I did an interception one time with 3 other people (2 randoms and my friend) I dunno what happened but it didnt tone down the fact the other 2 left during the first wave so it was still left at a spawn of 4 people with only 2 players playing??? Even with my best, we lost the 2nd wave it was really really bad
Ishki88
I'll bring a lightly modded Excal then. Won't use Blind Rage or any corrupted mods...just mods you usually get from the planets previous....I'll try to play incognito.....hopefully they won't see my rank 12 next to my shield/health bar Xd Edit: Since I don't have a Braton....guess I can use a Braton Prime :> or Paris....Prime....I really don't have any more beginner weapons lol Edited April 8, 2014 by Ishki88

Valiant
Might cruise around on these levels to lend a hand then. I haven't really played this mode since they altered it. Just read about it.
Xaelon
Might cruise around on these levels to lend a hand then. I haven't really played this mode since they altered it. Just read about it. Me neither, I did it a few times and I didn't see it being all that special. I guess the recent changes have really...well...changed things. I was planning on leveling the new goodies that come with u13, so it seems like sticking around the interceptions and helping the new players out will be a good thing to do. DietEbolaCola
Interception rebalancing was mentioned in devstream 25 a couple weeks ago, but the next patch to follow, that may have included it, was delayed until this Wednesday. Edit: Until then, I have been taxiing new players to the next node(s) out, when I don't feel like doing Eurasia or Lua, or I suggest that they wait until Infested invade Earth again to make those nodes easier. Gildarts_bb
been spending most my time lately on these two nodes its seems trying to help new players over the wall. the spawns really almost seem random 1 game they will be moderate to hard but doable, the next game the spawns are like hard to holy f&^%ing hell where did all these guys come from. no real difference in group make up either both with me and 3 MK1 or 2's the spawns just seem screwy. i will usually run the same group 2-3 times hoping for one of the doable ones if we don't get one i offer to taxi them around the road block and tell them to watch the patch notes and come back when it gets changed. not much else to do for now... really hoping this is fixed in U13 esp. with all the hype warframe just got with winning the contest. Hyunsai
Yeah, if they want to keep the new players attracted by the recent Warframe victory, they must improve new player experience. A lot.

There's some interesting business studies about new and old customers; also some good reads about which type of customer a business wants to attract/keep. You (and everyone reading) should do some research. You might gain some insight into DE's thought process.

As every reviewers and immense majority of players are saying the same thing, aka "new player experience sucks", you'd better provide us the studies that prove it is a right thing for F2P games in order to gain the larger customer base possible. So enlighten us, I'm quite interested as I never saw this anywhere. Im actually not trying to prove a point. It's simply an interesting topic on how businesses view new/old customers. Fair enough.
