CrugerSoulek
This is if we get the option to go "Sword Alone"--not having to carry a ranged weapon (unless Glaive). Even if we don't, this is what I'm going with. I feel the traditional "hack n slash" controller layout will feel more comfortable rather than clicking the bumper. Though, this is strictly preference. If you have a change, what would you do? Mind you, this isn't a "controller vs keyboard/mouse" debate or anything. More of "I'm curious to see what other players plan to do".Edit: Just realized I forgot the "Press" for the right analog lol. Assume it to be Analog: Camera movement/ Press: Unused for now Edited April 8, 2014 by CrugerSoulek

(PSN)fingernageldreck
On the "up" from the D-pad you can put in a quick slot from your inventory(energy or health restore), i like that for myself. And i would move the dodge/slide from "B" to "RB", if you leave it in "B" you cant look around while sliding since your thumb is on "B" already. You have also no swap weapons button, i would lay it on "Y" and activate powers on clicking the right stick. Also i would change "X" for attack with "RT". Because again if your right thumb is on X you cant change your aiming/where you look at.

Though, typing is a minor pain, but nothing noticeable if you're not moving anywhere/talking via mic

I'm playing with some of the melee options for now (like melee auto targeting and camera tracks melee target). It can hopefully help with camera direction (though, it will be a pain with a group of enemies). If it doesn't help, then I'll go with right analog click for dodge/slide. With the melee, I don't plan on swapping weapons--that's why I'm putting the abilities there. I might switch X for RT, though. Maybe. There'll be a lot of adjustments once it's out, of course, though lol. I do appreciate the insight, though
(PSN)fingernageldreck
Np but i think if you have no swap button you cant switch to your melee weapon :) Or can you use the keyboard for that on pc, while playing with controller? JDacies
I think using a controller for melee is a good idea. for games like DmC and such its even mandatory id say. for shooting i will mostly prefer KBM but its always a comfort choice.

Admat
hmmm this is kinda neat :O been gaming on keyboard only and never even touched ps or xbox controllers :OOOO i should try it sometimes Seriously, its nice to use the Xbox controller. I sit back on the couch and relax when i hook up the laptop to the big screen. Only problem is getting into the Warframe menus. I think you can change planets and levels with the stick though. That's the only drawback for now. Control wise in game is great though.

I'm not bothered by it, but it's a decision that I respect. Also there are more inputs than buttons to accommodate them I can also respect this. I map powers to the D-Pad, one to each direction. L3 to sprint, L1 to toggle crouch. That's what I forgot to add on lol. I have L3 as my sprint and R3 as my crouch. The powers I feel like I'd get mixed up every now and again. Still, more /power/ to you Ba-dum, tss My control Scheme, only other thing that is different is that I have gear on 5-0 Nice o.o It makes me curious how one can play with a multi-button mouse like that. Seems a bit odd, haha. Still, it's awesome Seriously, its nice to use the Xbox controller. I sit back on the couch and relax when i hook up the laptop to the big screen. Yeah, I agree. I don't sit at a desk or anything (I sit on the floor, in front of a TV on a stand), so having my wrists bent for so long to play hurts them. The controller makes it easy for me

A_Shihtzu
Melee = R stick click (worked fine until ui bug from update) seriously how do you forget to add that setting for regular melee Sprint = Left stick click Crouch hold = right bumpper select= mark start= pause left and right D pad = swap through abilities Ability use = Left bumper RT = fire/block D pad down = push to talk Dpad up = Items / whatever your preferance LT = zoom/channeling A= jump B=reload X= use/ interact y/y hold = weapon swap/ melee stance I use (Right bumper) to crouch, because you slide a lot and coptering works well. It allows to crouch and aim at the same time like bumper jumper would, I can do better than people with mouse and KB Edited April 29, 2014 by A_Shihtzu
[DE]Drew
Try binding jump to a bumper if you want to aim while wall running. I bind crouch to right stick, works pretty well for sliding around.

KiraShado
Honestly I use a 360 controller for ALL my Warframe gameplay (The secret is out!), and with U13, the preset key bindings for the controller are just fine for me. Have your Right Stick set to Toggle Crouch, NOT Hold to Crouch, seriously. Even though you'll miss out in rolling, I have never needed to roll in a seriously fight. My suggestion is for RB to be set to its preset for melee attack which is cool, and RT is block which is also cool. ( I use this because I can't attack right away while I block and vice versa.)I didn't think to use B for rolling (Is B used for reload? or is that X?)...The controller auto-sets pressing the Left Stick for sprinting so that's what fills that....And set LB to abilities. (Y is normally to switch weaps, but if your going literally Sword Alone then it doesn't matter. i.e you have something other than just a melee weapon.)Otherwise that's a pretty good layout. (^This is my layout, never failed me yet!)Also have a keyboard right in front of you so you can open map (M) or see player status (Z) or see chat (T) which a controller could never give you (Also inn case you need to ALT+TAB or CTRL+ALT+DEL, or anything like that.).
