Quovander Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 I would like to be able to change the gold panels on Prime Warframes and Weapons because sometimes the gold just doesn't fit well with the other colours. I appreciate that the Primes are different 3D meshes but the gold portion should be just as customizable as the rest.

Murak Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 (edited) I believe the reason you can't change the gold is that its the special thing for the primes. Remember that prime frames aren't just a reskin, they are an entirely different frame. Similar to the Excal Proto armor that was recently released, you can't change the color on his chest / arm, because its not just a suit, its the actual virus affecting his body. Kenndrik Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Listen, the DE's made it that way to represent that you had a Prime Warframe. Say they did make those little accents customizable for Prime Gear or all gear, you would just as easily make any pleb gear make it look like a Prime Weapon or Warframe. So they basically lock it to where you could show you worked for a Prime Gear and not but some random pleb showing off and pretending they have a Boltor Prime or Rhino Prime as an example. Only thing would set them apart would probably be only the Helmets and Shapes of the models if you ever have the time to notice them while fighting.

Noogums Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 The gold cannot be changed because the shader that manages the metallic material does not support colour customization.
