-Krux- Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 first-person shooter playing as grineer or corpus. killstreaks get you an osprey as corpus or roller as grineer. can unlock classes like heavy grineer gunner or corpus tech -this would be neat expand on this idea!
Cybernetix Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 So long as DE put their own spin on it and it doesn't become a reskinned CoDfield.
A.o.D. Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Sounds cool. Choose your class at the beginning, like in SW Battlefront.
GraalOhOtonami Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 I can see this being like Firewarrior from the 40K universe.....
Agent_of_Change Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 This is almost a PVP concept I could get behind.
Dogoframe Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 6v6 with 5 capture points, 5v5 with one team planting bombs on the core the others are defending. But with NPCs made to be bullet sponges or fodder for weapons suffering of severe powercreep. Sounds like an original, good idea.
Sasquatchias Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 And during matches Tenno raids can occur, with the Tenno being NPCs that'll net the team that kills them a large amount of points or bonuses.
IIJetfireII Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 (edited) A spin-off game? That sure is interesting. I agree with this. But will DE add it? Edited April 8, 2014 by IIJetfireII
Agent_of_Change Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 (edited) And during matches Tenno raids can occur, with the Tenno being NPCs that'll net the team that kills them a large amount of points or bonuses. I would leave the tenno out of it entirely. Leave Warframes as something you only get to play as not against. Hypothetically, I would see this as set during the invasions that are always going on, or occasionally during an infestation outbreak. Treat it either as a PvP or PvE FPS mini game and allow it to count towards missions for battle pay rewards. I.e. instead of running for one side or the other as your warframe in an exterminate you get a FPS match as a soldier on the side you chose and a victory counts as a successful mission towards battle pay for that side. Keep it simple, but tie it into the already existing systems. Edited April 8, 2014 by Agent_of_Change
Llyssa Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Hrm. Level boss: Team of tenno. Survive by driving them off.

neKroMancer Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 I once proposed this as an alternate form of Warframe PvP. An idea that i find fascinating, playing as a \n enemy we kill daily by hundred. Killstreak transform you into Napalm? Yes please.
Agent_of_Change Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Maybe, yeah. Most Tenno powers are BS from the perspective of the enemy. Seriously... Imagine running around as a prod man and all of a sudden, M-prime, stomp, vortex, etc... F- that
lordwhizz Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 So long as DE put their own spin on it and it doesn't become a reskinned CoDfield. if its going to be a reskinned CoDfield that would be sad....just......sad
marbatico Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 how about finishing one game before starting to develop another? :P
Ryme Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 (edited) Or Tenno survival. 1 player is Tenno, everyone else is Grineer or Corpus, with additional NPC troops sprinkled in. Edited April 8, 2014 by Ryme
ThePresident777 Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 4 faction PvP. Play as Tenno, Infested, Grineer, of Corpus faction. This could take shape as a number of combinations, 2/3/4 factions at a time, teams augmented with AI squad/horde or strictly player based teams. Team size is also a variable here. 1 vs. 1 vs. 1 vs ........ Or, 2 vs. 2 vs. ...... Or ........... Or, 1 vs. 2 vs. 3 vs. 4 ...................... Or, ............... Actually, this could be a very fruitful experiment, thought or otherwise. Imagine the more complicated case, the case of 4 factions with players as faction leaders, and each faction is a horde of AI led by a squad of players. A nuker uses a nuke. What happens? Game over, instant win? Solving this problem could lead to interesting boss fights in coop. Single target powers could be made useful by making them powerful vs. one target. Multi target powers would be anti-horde and single target powers could be anti-leader. Enemy leaders could have protections against horde nukes. The trade off is power vs. target count. It's essentially a matter of energy density/concentration. Now people have a reason to slot more powers depending on the ratio of mooks to leaders in a mission. And, missions could be constructed to appeal to different tastes in mook/leader ratios. Those would be your sand boxes. Horde sand boxes and squad sandboxes. Play the sand box you prefer when you prefer it and load out accordingly. Customer Satisfaction, Product Selection, and Separation of Concerns FTW!
Sebastian Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 This is almost a PVP concept I could get behind. ONLY PvP that would turn well in this game, since they're fairly balanced.
slappy330 Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 I would love it to be like the Arkham origins Multiplayer, with the tenno granting you a large bonus of points/reviving all your team.
