De Token Items For Ps4

Hello Tenno,

 

A while back DEMegan had mentioned something about token items for the PS4 players who weren't allowed to purchase the founders pack(PC). I'm interested to find out what exactly these items may be and when they can be expected to start circulating in PS4. Does anyone know of any information about such items?

This was...mentioned? HUh...I'm also curious. Primarily because the whole account swapping thing. Imagine, a player swaps over to PS4, gets PS4 items, swaps over to PC :D

Pretty sure melee 2.0 has taken president of any other project for some time now so I think they might start working on it after the dust settles with melee 2.0 and badlands, no doubt there will be a lot of bugs at first so I wouldnt get my hopes up for us getting any kind of "token" for a while and that fine with me im more concerned with melee 2.0 coming to ps4

From what I understand of how account migration will work its a one time split of your pc account so that you will have a duplicate for ps4 but you will still have your old pc as well but from then on they have nothing to do with one another. Not 100% sure but thats my understanding of it. I know your platinum wont transfer.

That was only for people in NA who pre-ordered warframe and it was for both bratons.

 

I just hope whatever playstation gets, its not an exclusive weapon that PC can't get. The reason being that doing that would cause more anger than it would solve (because now PC players would be upset). I hope whatever PS4 gets its something like an exclusive weapon skin, badge, or maybe a previously released event weapon. Just my opinion ofc.

It should definitely be something like a weapon or an exclusive frame. The way I see it this is the only thing that will ever make up for for PS4 players not being able to buy the founders pack. I believe Sony is very aware of the discontent among PS4 players for not being given the opportunity to buy those items. It is my impression that Sony communicated those feelings to DE. Overall, It will need to be an item(s) only available on PS4.

I would like to know why it should be an item only for the ps4?

There is simply no reason to do this. It was necessary in the beginning of the game to give people something they could trade their money for to back this game up. It was to actually build this game. At the time they had enough, they closed the founder program, well, because it was founded.

It really doesn't. DE has said themselves that they considered the Warframe to be one thing, not "PS4 warframe" and "PC warframe". Giving PS4 players an exclusive weapon, or even an exclusive frame would make PC players extremely upset (especially if it was a frame).

 

I don't mind exclusive skins or badges because then its just a show item and doesn't effect gameplay, unlike if it was a new weapon or frame. A previously released event weapon would be fine since PC already had the chance to get it. DE needs to stop giving out exclusive weapons to both PC and PS4 that only one side can get. If they keep doing it, it will only cause more and more problems and further seperate the two communities when DE wants them both to be as equal as possible.

 

Also, Founders isn't even that good of gear, there are a ton of weapons and warframes that easily outclass it and at this point mastery rank doesn't matter either because there is no point getting to mastery 15 at the moment and there enough weapons and frames to get close to that anyways.

 

If PS4 does get something exclusive, it NEEDS to be a weapon skin or a badge. Maybe a previously released event weapon from before the game was on PS4. Others more issues are going to arise.
