Ideas To Improve Valkyr Whit Melee 2.0

I have been using Valkyr for quite some time and i got to say shes probably my fav frame both in concep and power wise, now that Melee 2.0 is going live (someday) im sure her Hysteria will be adapted whit her own set of combos and stuff, buuuut it would need more than just invinsibility to make her a better melee frame. Here are some suggestions:

 

Ripline: Change the animation to something more vicious, something amazing like out of a God of War game. the current animation is just meh, and its not really good keeping the pace of the game. Also why a simple energy like? why not make it look all spiked as it was a spike filled chain of death.

 

Warcry: Change it to be an Aura so only enemies and allies near her (in a reasonable range) can have the benefits.

By itself the ability is quite good the only problema is that more often tan not the enemies slowed by your skill will probably be murdered before the animation ends and since Valkyr is suposed to be a highly mobile beserker would be cool to have as an aura.

 

Paralysis: Why cant its damage stack whit missing SHields AND Health? shes a beserker you know and enemies will go through your shields anyways.

 

Hysteria: OH HERES THE BIG ONE!

SInce Melee 2.0 will allow us to basically go melee only mode (like this skill does) Hysteria now needs something new to be more apealing, otherwise people would just go Full Melee whit Warcry whit probably better results.

 

Lets divide this in two sections shall we? Visual and mechanics.

 

Mechanics: Now when Valkyr goes in full rampage mode shes not invinsible but rather has a MASSIVE Armor boost, increase the lifesteal % (Health regen based on damage dealth) and Increase her movement speed.

Also her normal attack should cleave, dealing damage to more than one foe, maybe a max of 4? i dont know if DE will keep giving Melee weapons (specially heavies) a limit on how many enemies it can hit in one swing, i mean come on the point of having a big &#! sword is to use its lenght at your advantage by hiting more tan one target whit the same swing. We will see.

Finally as a Beserker killing enemies while on Hysteria should increase its duration by a sertain amount, increased by lvs and affected by duration mods(?)

 

Visual:  Valkyr will go into full all out rampage mode, going all out you know so why not making this ability look like Valkyr is briefly going full on rage? First when activating she is shown holding her head in pain then releases a fierce and chilling cry, adding to the fun factor maybe it will nock down enemies and nocks back allies.

In this form her claws should look mobile and while i know they are made out of energy why not making them look a bit more organic? more gruesome and Sharp. While we are at it maybe Valkyr looks just a big more bulky than normal.

Also add energy cracks through her suit, as if her Warframe is about to crack from all the energy and of course we cant forget the screen sligtly colored in your frame's color

 

The Little details count: Im guessing that when going on a rampage Valkyr is probabbly remembering all those horrible experiments she went through. Since the skill makes you def (When you can hear anything) why not also add voices in your head as you go into a murderous killing spree.

This voices could be either Valkyr's own inner voice trying to keep her sanity, memories of the experiments or just Valkyr screaming like a mad cat.

 

All this would make Hysteria (and thus Valkyr Herself) a more versatile skill and useful not for a simple iinvinsibility but for been a powerful alternative to your melee.

 

Of course this changes would also fix a problem that sadly many frames suffer, the unholy press-4-to-win. Removing the Invinsibility and adding more mobility and the duration-on-kill feature would reward skilled players who mastered Melee 2.0 and made their proper calculations for the melee weapon-to-claws formula to reach its maximun potential, as well as giving newer Valkyrs a fun Skill to F*** around whit.

 

And thus i finish this post, comment what you think and lets hope Melee 2.0 brings a Brand new light to Valkyr and other melee frames *chough*Ash*cough*

I say give her the Rhino treatment, and fuse Paralysis into Warcry, and give her a brand new skill.

Mcl_BlueMadness But paralysis and Warcry has way different uses. One is a buff the other a stun used to do an special attack and cripple.

Barely different. Look at what RHino Stomp is. One was a stop enemies, the other was to damage them. Warcry can be an initial stun, then it buffs valkyr and debuffs the speed of the enemies when in range. An example of a warframe that kinda does this is Ember with Accelerant.

 

Back to the original idea though, Hysteria will more than likely need some work, as it stands it's just a "You now have the Furax equipped and have 1.5x melee damage and other stuff." With Melee 2.0....Valkyr is going to need a lot of work because of the stance mods. Hysteria will probably have it's own unique "stance" mod, or will get completely reworked where Valkyr doesn't just punch/claw things and instead uses the melee weapon you have equipped, the latter being the easier solution with less draw backs.

I have some other ideas but since i havent seen how Melee 2.0 operates i cant really figure out a good solution to incorporate, note that my suggetions are more about the buffs and the visual effects since i dont wanna touch on the fighting style.

 

About the skill yeah maybe we can call it "intimidating pressence" Buffing allies and stunning enemies for few seconds.
