What Do You Think: Lotus Is Rogue Neural Sentry?

So there's some discussion about whether Lotus is an AI or not... I propose that she (or it) is actually an Orokin neural sentry, a synthetic intelligence that they used to guard and maintain their cities. Following the success of the warframe program, which involved sending their own civilians unprotected into the Void and then augmenting the survivors with technology that gave them supernatural powers, they thought to try the same thing with a neural sentry to see if they could make something even more powerful.   What they got back was Lotus... Or, the thing that would come to call itself Lotus.  As the war against the Sentients wound down to a finish, proto-Lotus found out about the history of Hayden Tenno and what he had done and had been done to him. And she found out that the same thing as happened to Hayden, which is that they were used by their masters in the pursuit of power, she had suffered at the hands of the Orokin. Proto-lotus then indoctrinated what warframes it could and gave itself a new identity, to correspond to the independent and authority-hating ideology of Hayden. She orchestrated the overthrow of the Orokin in much the same way that Hayden killed his own superior when he found out the truth of how he had been betrayed.

... That she's called the "Betrayer" by the Corpus in a way that suggests she's a rogue Corpus personnel.

Its certainly possible the phased skins do prove that the void can affect non organic objects but personaly I think she was a orokin commander that was uploaded into a computer system ghost in the shell style.

well given that the stalker said the tenno killed the orokin im guessing we were ordered to and if we could kill what made us then who controls us

Hmm well we know three things for certain.

 

1. The tenno did indeed betray the orokin for what reason or motive we do not know.

 

2. The Lotus is most likely an AI of some kind or a half machine and human hybrid as she does look human with the face and all and there are connectors going into her suit. We also know that the lotus symbol goes as for back as hayden tennos time frame because the lotus symbol can be seen every were in dark sector.

 

3. The stalker was part of the original orokin empire and possibly a soldier of some kind as he referees himself and the others around him as low guardians and he feels we are responsible for the destruction of the orokin age and his people. But maybe we the tenno knew something he didn't maybe the orokin were not the good people we thought they were. Regardless he now hunts us down with a vengeance and has been living in the galaxy unlike us he never went into cyro sleep.

I believe your looking for the term cyborg also apparently the lotus was confirmed to be physical when she made the Dex Furis herself

ya I mean it could be possible as it does look like she is hooked into something and she has a human face and what appears to be a humanoid body she could even by a android like romy from the tv series andromeda.

All the message about the Dex Furis says is "I have crafted".  I don't think you can really take that to me that she went down to the machine shop and personally cranked out a few million of these things with her own hands so every Tenno could have a set.   More plausibly she designed them, she caused them to be made, but they were physically fabricated by robotics...    Which can serve a synthetic intelligence just as well as they can serve a biological one.
