Need Closure

Should I keep leveling boring weapons that aren't any fun just for mastery rank or wait until mastery rank means something? I've found the loadout I love (Paris Prime - Hikou - Kogake) so I don't really look at the other weapons as "potential new main weapons".

Not true, it affects what weapons you can use to a certain point, then it effects trades and number of extractors deployed.

Grind till rank 8 and play with what you like afterwards. Its only good for trades after that.

But at the same time, I'd rather spend the (useless) time levelling them now than later.

Cuz "later" i can focus on the focus system, when I have all of my desired weapons, rather than waste time catching up incase mastery means something by then.

We know that Focus is coming in U14.

Focus will give much more purpose to Mastery Rank.

From there it's up to you.

 

I'm personally going to try to catch up to the current rank cap and keep at it just so I'll really be able dive deeper into Focus once we get it.

Mastery rank will start to matter in update 14 when DE introduces the focus system so the real question is do you want to get ready beforehand or wait until the update hits which will be in 2 months if the past updates are anything to go by.

You should wait till the Hydroid comes out and actually do what your name says you do

That's really eerily similar to one of my favorite loadouts (Paris Prime/Kunai/Kogake).

 

I suggest building other "gimmicky" weapons (not neccisarily bad ones, just guns with interesting mechanics instead of your standard pistol/rifle/melee. Stug, Penta, Ogris, Miter, Drakgoon, Dread (Slash is marginally better versus certain factions if you're looking to get the most out of it), Boltor, Castanas, Glaive, etcetera.

 

Helps spice things up and you may find you love other weapons just as much if not more.

My favorite loadout is Latron Prime, Twin Gremlins and Hate. I also use the Strun Wraith and Brakk a lot as well.

for now, mastery rank is only good for clan weapons that requires mastery, in the future, when focus gets implemented, the master rank might have an actual use.

Don't forget that when focus comes out, mastery will play a part in that as well.

i think yea.. you should defently level them to 30 then ditch them ...

Mastery rank is like mastery bation.  It may make you feel good for a few seconds but really accomplishes nothing.   I just don't see the point of the end game rewards in this game.  Why Rhino Prime, why mastery rank, why play at end game?
