Senparos
Correct me if I'm wrong about any of this, but isn't the point of alliances to allow ghost and shadow clans to form large groups so they can stand a chance against the moon clans when competing for control over the Dark Sectors? Despite this, the update hasn't even been released yet and I keep seeing a ton of people starting up their own alliances and recruiting here on the forums. This defeats the original purpose of the alliances because instead of having large alliances that can compete, it seems like now all we'll have are a bunch of small alliances that can't even compare to the larger clans. I can't see the alliance system going anywhere if it continues like this. So this post is my way of asking the ghost/shadow clan community to join other alliances BEFORE creating one of your own. I understand that a lot of people want to be the clan in charge of the huge alliance, but if everyone has that position, then the alliance system won't help us very much at all. Thanks for reading my opinion, and I apologize if anyone is offended by anything I have said (it's happened before a few times).
Firetempest
The ones who want to be competitive in those once a month events, would actually choose their alliance carefully. Otherwise, people can have their own clan yet still have a pool of players to group up with easier for the other 99% of the game.
Freelancer27
I personally feel the hype of combining smaller clans into alliances early is not due to the competition involved, but solely on the development and uses of even more difficult missions that give out lots of resources and mods. Simply, people just want to end the End game as the update settles since they've been waiting for an actual End game content for too long.
Letter13
Keep in mind that the average moon clan is around 500 members. That means that it would take an alliance of 5~7 75-man storm clans to equal their manpower.
Mcl_Blue
Just let natural selection do it's work. Most of these will end up nowhere anyway.

Must also take into consideration active members. 1 Moon clan with semi active members i doubt will stand up to 5-7 clan alliance full of active members. Wallace24
well fortunately, alliances will have a member cap. so any one alliance can only be so large I don't quite understand, I think it's good that people are starting alliances already. I'm not so sure that everything will be balanced once solar rails are built to the dark sectors, but at the outset, all alliances seem to be created equal. but if they start recruiting now, maybe groups of smaller clans will be as competitive as some of the larger ones. possibly moreso, if you have multiple ghost clans each with all 10 members active, versus one moon clan with maybe half of them active. I think we have to let the chips fall first

Well, there are like 2 or 3 alliances forming that are going to be large alliances of mainly shadow and ghost clans. The rest want to start their own, but would be better off trying to fold into the big ones already forming.
Un1337ninj4
Population limits, 3 moon clans at a time can have an alliance, or (much more likely). 1 Moon, and several "Elite" Shadows and then on. ensignvidiot
I've helped to settle a 6 clan alliance large enough to hold our own against huge moon clans. I think this system will work out well in the end

SmokeyJesus
Just what warframe needs, politics. mehI know right? It's part of why im kind of against having my ghost clan join an alliance. If anyone here has played EVE Online, you would know that being the leader or CEO of an alliance is probably one of the hardest things to do in that game. Being a CEO of an alliance in EVE is literally a full time job, it certainly is not easy. Even though there is a major content difference between Warframe and EVE, there will definitely be alliances falling apart because of this. My last clan fell apart because the warlord wasn't online enough. This is a very real factor that will affect a lot of things in this game
VegetableBasket
All the less than 3k member alliances will conglomerate into a couple 3k member alliances so it won't really matter in a couple weeks. Those who get nothing done won't stick around.
