My Night On Warframe (Ps4 Rant)

Yeah, the event is over! I got my boosters. I have 20 weapons made ready and waiting for this moment.

My night:

2 blue screens

2 fail to saves (including a 45 wave T3 def which fully ranked my weapons)

So many logouts

I've been patient enough. 3 weeks this has been broken and now my boosters are useless. Bye Warframe. I will not be giving you any more of my money.

yeah, that sucks. the host disconnect 45 minutes into a survival is what gets my goat. really sucks about the boosters, too. to fully make use of those, you need to play a lot while they're active, and if you have stuff like this happening, they're essentially useless

I hear you man. In almost every game of void someone disconnects. It wasn't soo bad before U12.4, hopefully they fix this asap. My friend lost boltor prime bp due to server logout.

Just to clarify. This isn't specific to me. There are multiple posts about these problems since the 12.4.4 update. This game worked fine for me before that update, so it isn't me.

Contacting service is useless which is the most frustrating part. This issue is so common they have an auto response saying they won't do anything (I'm paraphrasing). The game is broken and the support is unwilling/unable to compensate players for their investment. That's just not how you run a company, beta or not.

Peace

the disconnect is due to your internet connection man, has nothing to do with Warframe. The blue screen just means you need to reboot yout PS4. Make sure it is in a well ventilated area. If your PS4 stays on for too long, it may need to be rebooted. Its just like a PC, if it overheats it can crash.

You are wrong. My internet connection is fine. If it were my internet then this problem would have persisted before this last update. Secondly, if it were my internet connection then this would also be happening on my pc, which it isn't.

My ps4 is well ventilated and had only been on for an hour.

Thanks though.

Understand where you're coming from bud, almost did my walk-away rant over rank 8 mastery... But I eventually got it and am happy I stayed, just shut it off for a day and tomorrow you'll have a shiny hot fix waiting on you!

PS: constantly bringing up the "it's a beta rarr rarr rarr" is laughable. With the amount of money that exchanges hands, forgiving everything as a "beta" is simply ridiculous.

I had the same problem with the dropped connections and progress saving issues.

Called my internet provider, Had them change my router and I have not had one single problem since I did this.

I too have great internet, computer was fine, Netflix streamed great. No problems with other games.

I can't explain it either and I did notice it happening a lot right after 12.4 But I can tell you that the new router is the only thing I changed and I have been error free since then. An occasional blue screen but who knows how that happens.

im sorry they can no longer hide behind the "beta" word when they have no problems taking in the players money. they have packs worth over $100 much more than what most retail games cost. if im paying that much money (which i havent) i expect a well run game.

its not the internet connection thats causing the problem because the "progress was not saved" and "failed to connect to server" only started happening with this frequency when update 12.4 was released.  people's internet didnt change, the game code changed.

Telling somebody to "just get over it" when 45 minutes of gameplay, time, loot, and credits are lost is very insensative. if your game constantly lost connection to server and every 3 out of 4 missions your progress wasnt saved you would be upset too.

i do believe OP should sumbit a support ticket because i did and the people that helped me were very nice and understanding.  still no real fix to the problem but knowing that someone is working on it helps at least.

Weird isn't it. how can they charge so much money, when its still a Beta. I have no idea how to answer that question other than they have kids to feed like you and me, and bills to pay. They don't want to work for free. They are a game company after all. So they need to somehow support their development.

Have you ever considered the possibility of your internet being the problem and not the game?!

That's a possibility, here's two counter-points:

1) Warframe wasn't having nearly this many disconnects and logouts before U12 came out.

2) If the OP played another online game on PS4 like Killzone for example, I bet he wouldn't get disconnected.

Going from my personal experience, my guess is that his internet is fine, Warframe is what's broken.

It's easier to blame the object sitting right in front of you, instead of rationally thinking through things and locating the real cause of the issue. It doesn't matter if your laptop or computer works just fine. We're discussing a different animal. As one poster said, a change of router made all the difference in the world.

My Netflix and MacBook Pro also worked fine, while the game would drop connections. Guess what the culprit was? Connections in the outside junction box that required new connectors, and a bad wire leading to the house. A phone call to my internet provider, as well as a serious boost of Mbps and a service truck to my home to replace the wire from the pole to the house made everything sunshine and roses.

Another point. You are playing a game that everyone across the planet is playing. How do you know it isn't the server or the host with the issue? If the host in the group has lousy internet service, guess what? Expect it to drop. DSL isn't going to cut it. Slow internet speeds from your provider orsomeone's else's in the group isn't going to cut it.

Rants at DE and threats of leaving the game do not solve the solution.

Not sure if trolling. You speak of rational thought but you avoid it.

Same service, pre update 12.4.4, absolutely no problems with connectivity.

Post update 12.4.4, all sorts of problems. It doesn't take long to find that tons of other people are having the same issues on the same timeline.

A rational person would think something on DE's end changed that started these issues.

In general, the simplest and most obvious solution is usually the right one. Here, based on this empirical evidence, that solution is DE, not me.

Not being able to consistently progress in a game I've spent money on for three weeks warrants a rant IMO.

Edit: DE has posted they have a hot fix waiting for approval to fix this very issue. Unless this means coming to my house to check my internet, a rational person would then understand this to be DE taking responsibility for this problem.

I am not leaving Warframe - having too much fun with the game (but getting extremely annoyed waiting for Vauban alerts)...

I also started experiencing issues with network connectivity since 12.4.4.  I have over 200+ hours in the game and didn't have any connectivity issues until 12.4.4.

I have also verified my internet and replaced my router - no help.  Some days it works fine with very few disconnects and others it is all but unplayable.

I generally group with the same friends every night.  Last night, my connection was fine but another friend kept getting disconnected...  I wasn't the one hosting.  When he hosted - he couldn't save progress.  When I hosted and he could save his progress.  So you are saying he was having connectivity issues with himself???   (I must have read your post wrong because you can't be saying that).

I am hoping the next patch that is in the works for the PS4 will greatly help the stability of this wonderful game.

EDIT - I would love to know what speeds are required for Warframe to operate correctly.  I have 24Mbps DSL.  I am pretty sure that is fast enough (it was before update 12.4.4)

I like what you saying here.  You never know what kind of connection squad member X has and that can adversely affect your quality of play (i.e., Almost any time I play a "Tower" mission and am not hosting, I get hit with Frame Drop and Lag that makes Battlefield 4 seem like a fun time).

One possible solution for this is (Dedicated Servers).  Not only will dedicated servers allow for a greater number of players to connect than before, they would also help to alleviate some of the strain And dependency on consumer networks.

Just a thought though.
