So There Haven't Been Details On Infested Returning To The Starchart In U13, Has There?

Just wondering....  I haven't heard any details or seen much talk about the infested returning to the starchart on the forums.  I highly doubt we'd get Infested tilesets and Grineer Shipyards in one update but it would be nice :)

 

 

So just wondering if anyone has heard something I have not.

 

 

(Not being greedy but I think edit: enough of the community has been clamoring for DE to put the Infested back on the starchart.)

Well no - those are placebos. They are returning to the starchart as permanent nodes.  I'm just wondering when Oizen.

Personally, I think Infestation staying out of the Starchart is a better idea. How could mindless monsters plan to invade nodes ?

They thankfully won't be added back until later. Don't want to see them return unless their drop chances and xp have been nerfed to prevent people from getting superior rewards without requiring any skill whatsoever.

I just checked video, Earth has Grineer symbol on all the nodes, but has the green clouds signifying an Infested Invasion on some of the nodes.

 

That is simply an Infested Invasion on the Earth system in progress.

The entire community has not been clamoring for that, a large number of us are just fine with the way it is currently and a small number of very vocal people have been asking for their return.

 

The loudest doesn't usually mean the majority.

 Actually according to lore that while individually they may not be very smart, they do exhibit hive behavior and swarms do converge on specific targets together, (from the wiki) there are also infested like Lephanthis who are clearly a cut above the average cannon fodder types.

Getting infested back on the starchart does not have to mean that we will be getting infested tilesets. While i always welcome more tilesets i would be content enough with seeing the Infested back on the starchart for the time being.

they're coming back once DE finishes the Infested tileset(s) (which they showed concepts of, some streams ago so don't even question it)... showing you how the other faction's architecture can be corrupted through technocyte, too (rather than just plonking little bits of tentacles on grounds and walls, and floating embers)

U14 likely, we have only been shown shots of infested tileset concepts so far, but with melee 2.0 and all this other stuff coming out today finally DE will get a chance to go full steam ahead on those next most likely.

True but everytime they mention something the majority of the community assumes next update. Always. Seriously I've seen people swear up and down that things rhe devs said they weren't even sure was going to happen was coming in the next update. And people wonder why they don't share more further off plans and ideas.

Plenty of people want the infested back permanently (at all levels - not just Derelict levels).  There is not always an infestation and not always an alert.

 

It would be nice to test out melee weapons on weak infested whenever I want....and many a time I cannot.

I for one don't mind either way. Whether or not they're dumb mindless infested entity's, they still had to had come from somewhere so it fits the lore just fine for me.
