And you, Nico, don't understand what proper business gains are. Like I said, you'd have to buy all of Sony's assets to do that. All the rights to the Play Station franchise atleast. Because Sony stands to lose EVERYTHING if something goes wrong.

Yes, toss enough money at something and it'll do cartwheels for you. But in this case, the price tag is just too high, and not worth it.

It's worth a try you know, And maybe it is worth it, But that depends on the PS4's Warframe playerbase.

No, they do not. Not specifically anyway. I never specified WHAT console my friend blew up, but I can safely say it's not one of the new generation consoles. :p

Also, so long as the testing companies do their jobs right, you won't have to worry about fatal bugs of that nature. Which brings us back to why the cert is a necessary evil.

Well who knows, Anything can explode at any second, For instance my PS4 could explode now, Your PC could explode now, My PC coul-

Sorry to come down at you again, but it really isn't worth the try. Sony won't let go of Play Station for a price that could be gathered through some "founder" program. You're essencially buying out a mega corporation here for the sake of earlier releases of game features that will come out reguardles. And if DE DID have that money, it would be better invested elsewhere. Not to mention that if DE actually bought the Play Station franchise, I doubt they could manage it properly at all, causing it to bomb and be forgotten. Killing Warframe on PS4 in the same blow. Not to mention that then DE would be responsible for the cert relating to other games. Only pushing the problem from one company to another one for all games not DE related.

The only reason you would WANT to have update releases to forego the cert, would be to have them release at the same time as PC releases. And that would only serve to do cross platform gaming. Which is nice, but another thing that could be done with a much cheaper price tag to achieve this, would be to delay PC updates until the console certs are done. Which is just not something that can be done during beta. I could see this happening once the game is fully released though.

In all cases, trying to make a "founder" program to bypass Sony cert isn't simply unreasoneable, it's impractical for everyone too.

i completely understand that, and i respect the founders for supporting the game early on.

the only sad part about that is not a lot of people have access to a gaming p.c., and even then i have heard some founders say that they were looking to transfer their stuff to ps4, and as we have seen, i dont think that rainbrow bridge is gonna be happening any time soon. so it would have made more sense to also have the option within the first month of release on the ps4 to offer it also...but that time is passed, and they didnt have me working for them to give them this idea.

i personally have a gaming p.c. but i did not know about this game at all until about a week before i got my ps4. i love the game and i put money into it and support it.

anyways, unfortunately this issue will never go away, because the game only gets more popular(as shown in the mmo f2p poll recently) and more and more people are going to come in and ask about it. so just prepare yourselves for newbies asking this same question for years to come, and check their post count and treat them well if they are new, and obviously have no clue how many times we have had this argument.

I didn't have a gaming computer when I founded warframe.

I heard about warframe when it was in alpha stages, I followed it's development on the dev diaries and immediately hopped on the game when closed beta game out. I was only able to play the game infrequently on a dying computer with minimum specs, but I still got a founders pack early on, and later upgraded.

In fact, I enjoyed warframe so much that I saved up to afford a computer that could play Warframe properly.

Should PS4 get exclusives? Perhaps.

Should it be labelled a "Founders" program? No. You wouldn't be founding anything, the game has gained enough momentum that DE have no need for "Founders" anymore.

The tricky issue is, what exclusives could you give PS4? You simply cannot give PS4 an exclusive prime frame for the sake of doing so, as it would cause general uproar among the PC players. It would have to be a cosmetic, maybe a skin or syandana collection.

I understand the general mentality of, "They have it so why can't we". But you can't simply demand a repeat program exclusive to PS4 because times have changed and the game is a lot more popular than it was. The program was meant to entice "hoarders" to found a relatively unknown game to fund it.

The most practical approach I can see would be to have some PS4 exclusive cosmetics (syandana, sentinel wings, skin etc) as a reward for a future event on the PS4 as you will undoubtedly get the event after PC, so it could be seen as a form of compensation. Then perhaps a few novelty PS4 exclusive cosmetics can be added to the market for platinum.

Well, they already said that PS4 is getting exclusives. Now until they announce exactly what they are, what can we discuss? I'd only say that those exclusives must include 3 items that give mastery, like on PC. Although that could be, like, sentinels (dethcube prime?), not necessarily frame and 2 weapons like on PC.

Amazing Sarcasm there, Now go look around and see if we had the actual chance.

The Glourious Master Race extended the offer to obtain the Glourious Founder Items when the Game was being founded.

At this stage, all users, peasant, priest or prince could found the game and get the item, regardless of what peasantry they may go on to.

Game wasn't even on PS4 by then, Sure I could buy it for PC but by then nobody even knew if Account Migration would happen.

Account migration will give PS4 player base access to the same content that was released for PC. Only in the form that someone who paid for founder on PC will have it for PS4 too. "sigh" I wish they never released these exclusive items for founders in the first place, but what's done is done. making more excluive gear will only worsten the problem. I sincerilly hope they do not for that reason alone.

We have asked them for this. And they stated that something Exclusive is coming to PS4, but they have not brought up the subject again. So I am guessing they are not going to do anything. DE comment would be appreciated on this.

Founders Prime Exclusives

The Founders Program that ran last year has no active plans of being returned to the game. There is continued talk from players about bringing it back, or some aspect of rerelease, but it’s very unlikely to occur. But this always raises the question of what role do exclusive gear, particularly exclusive gear that signifies a moment or milestone in the game’s development play?

Token items for PS4 to signify the players who have stuck with us since the beginning is an ongoing conversation, and while we don’t have any results to report at this time, we believe it is an important topic to continue bringing up with the team, and are doing just that!"

You can read that post here: https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/191300-march-7th-community-hot-topics/

I quoted this straight from DE. Nothing since March 7 has been stated on what token items PS4 is getting for players who have stuck since the beginning. Any updates on this from DE would be highly appreciated. As they hardly ever mention PS4, so this is confirmation from them that something Exclusive is coming to PS4, but not sure what?!

The Console peasants had their chance to obtain The Glorious Master Race's exclusives.

They didn't take them.

Too bad, so sad.

Sarcasm? Maybe. But it is this kind of elitist attitude that perpetuates the rift between PC and PS4's coexistence

While being a PS4 player I would appreciate some sort of "exclusive token" for supporting the game (in its infancy on the PS4), I am against future exclusives for your reason above...To not allow PS4 players to be able to access said exclusives, yet to allow PC players to bring them with their account migration to the PS4 would truly be a smack in the face
