# Solar Rails Scoring System

I have some suggestions on how to score the contesting rails of two opposing clan/alliances on that node.

Defense Rails

Instead of simply score the amount of missions completed or waves completed, give the waves completed multiplied by the value of the waves. So more waves of higher levels are worth more. This is to prevent people from doing boring multiple runs of 5 waves and encouraging people to not grind and simply play as they usually do and push for challenging higher waves. The multiplier value should be a linear scale according to the waves completed to not over inflate the score. Runs of 5 waves should still count for something but waves of 25 should have a bit more value because of its difficulty. Below is the equation I am suggesting to keep it fair and fun to play while encouraging players to challenge themselves and their allies.

((wave#/50)+1) x wave# = final score of that run

(final score of that run) x (the number of players attended that mission) = final score of that run

Examples:

5 waves completed for 1 person for 1 run  = [(5/50)+1]5 * 1 = 5.5 pts

5 waves completed for 4 people for 1 run = [(5/50)+1]5 * 4 = 22.0 pts

25 waves completed for 3 people for 1 run = [(25/50)+1]25 * 3 = 112.5 pts

Survival Rails

Similar to Defense Rails.

((time in minutes/50)+1) x wave# = final score of that run

(final score of that run) x (the number of players attended that mission) = final score of that run

Rescue, Exterminate, Deception & Sabotage Rails

These rails most likely will be straight grind fests

The multiplier value (currently 1/50 in my examples) may be tweaked in the future to decrease or increase adjustments for situations of imbalance between novice and expert players. This is just a suggestion or something in the direction to balance the contested nodes while making it less of a grind fest to maintain a node. Thanks for reading.

Why?

Once a Solar Rail is in place, people just play the mission as per normal.

The smart alliances will put a tax of 1% in place so everyone supports them and they become Warframemart and make a few pennies from everyone that runs the mission.

Get rich schemes are doomed to constant confliction.

Nope, we got a basic overlay of the 3 different endgame things in progress.  Focus, Badlands and proxy war, but no true this is what it is statements.
