Morgax Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 When switching to melee weapon having right click to block but still using default E button to strike is borderline clumsy. Alas when i try to bind that button to mouse left button it overrides the weapon firing button. In short, when i switch to melee i want to use my mouse buttons for handling my sword and F or E to channel my weapon without hurting gun binds.
XenosInfinity Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Yes, please. I keep accidentally channeling when I just want to melee.
Rhawkas Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I was just looking to see if I could find a thread about this before posting one of my own. In short, gun-equipped commands and melee-equipped commands should be separate. In addition, there should be a "Quick Melee" command for when we want to use a melee attack with our gun equipped (basically the melee attack we had before U13). Would help out a bunch, since going from using your mouse to attack while using your gun and then switching to melee and having to use a whole different set of buttons (or even the keyboard if your mouse doesn't have that many buttons) is a bit awkward.
CosyPigeon Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Agree, would like mb1 to be melee button for when melee weapon is equipped
DaWolv Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 YES PLEASE! Somehow my brain automatically changes fire mode once I equipp the melee weapon proper. I use MB5 for Melee Swing - which still works fine for reactionary swings while firing. but MB1 for Channeling is just... weird. I'd much prefer channeling on the previously bound swing button in favor of swinging on MB1. Makes sense too, as MB2 as blocking stance makes perfect sense. Maybe do it like in GTA, where you have entirely different control schemes for when inside a vehicle.
