I originally made a post earlier today about a suggestion for a rising strike move to hit things like ospreys. Think it now occurred to me that a rising strike might absolutely be a must if you're going to allow to to be melee only. Things like grineer energy sapping doors with are disabled by something toward the ceiling and the sabotage mission for the ship yards, which, is possible with melee only but requires precise movement to aerial slide attack while you're already touching the reactor because you can't jump high enough if you're not on it.

 

And if attacks like there are offered in stances then I agree with what many others have probably said here that we should have been provided with a stance to start with.

 

Not saying we shouldn't be creative with trying to get these things done but we shouldn't have to be forced to be creative get accomplish necessary tasks in the game.

Not to mention that, in my experience, the Orokin Drones in the Void are like immune to melee.

 

Not any other drones in the game, just them.

 

Funny. Just before U13 hit I did a 40 minute T3 Survival with my Valkyr. Jumping over the drones when they cluster up in groups and doing a ground slam seemed to kill several of them at once quite often.

 

Of course, I had Jat Kittag as my Hysteria stat stick.

 

But yes, it is quite frustrating  to deal with most drones if you're trying to melee. Even if you have a melee with a giant slam attack, slam AOE typically does such pitiful damage that it takes forever to kill the damn things.
