Rank 4 Qualification Test Bugged

Just reached rank 4 today and started my qualification test. Lotus says to last until the timer runs out. A single infested runner shows up. I kill it. Nothing else appears.

 

After the time runs down, nothing else happens. I am forced to abort the mission.

 

Very annoying as I must now wait 24 hours to retake the test.

I just qualified to do the rank 3 test this morning, I attempted the qualification.

 

My instructions were to use melee weapons only. I couldn't do anything but move around and wait for the timer to end and fail.

 

My loadout was Aklato and Dual Skana.

Likewise here, have attempted to do rank 4 in three days now.

First time was the horrid BSOD inducing issue. 24h added

Second time only 1 wave of infested spawned. timer went to 0 and disappeared. Aborted and 24h added

Third time now. Only 3-4 waves of infested spawned, timer went 0 and disappeared. Aborted and 24h added
I have now sent in a ticket.

Hey everyone.  I am having the same problem.  5 infested engaged me.  Put up ironskin, then proceeded to cut them down with melee.  Timer runs out and nothing further happens.  Been over 5 minutes of waiting.  Writing this message while still waiting.

Same here. Couldn't do anything on rank 3.

This time it was a success.

 

Someone using a shade to cloak himself through the test it made me think differently

You are only suppose to survive, not score points

 

I did it in this manner, most of it is probably bogus, except for the first

1*  I did not kill everything at once
2* I ran round and round and round in circles avoiding damage.

3* I killed an jumper infected and noticed it re-spawned, so I started killing one, once every 10-15 seconds. So the game "refreshes" or whatever you want to call it (Still having most of them after me)

4* No meele at all

I can confirm that this can work, was able to complete the trial myself by running in circles slowing killing the infested one at time with my braton.

Yo guys. I'm having the same problem. BUT! I don't own any firearms... I only have Kunai, Cernos and a Paris and Dual Ether daggers. Does it matter or not? And since only ONE infested spawns, if I kill him, then what?

Yeah the problem is still up. My fifth try and the bug keeps me from ranking up. Have to wait 24 hours again is a pain.

Its my first try, I did as instructed, killed all the enemies, timer ran out and now its just me and 6 pillars with nothing to do. I was looking forward to rank 4 too.

I'm having the same problem, this time I just stood there and blocked the single runner that spawned and just stood there blocking until the timer ran out and nothing...

I have this same problem, I have taken the test 2 times now and have waited a day for each. Every time I take the rank 4 test it only spawns 2-3 infested and nothing else, after the timer runs down to 0 nothing happens and im forced to quit the test to get out. I would like to see this bug get fixed because I would like to unlock the rank 4 guns and haveing to wait 24 hours because of something that is impossible to do with this bug, and waiting a day and to try again and same bug happens. Now im stuck waiting again... I hope they get this fixed soon because its no fun to just wait for something you cant do/get.

It's likely due to the new spawn mechanics. Either way, DE has confirmed that they know of the bug, so all we can do is wait.

I don't think rifle only is valid, simply was when I was using meele I killed most of them at once. simply use something single target.

 

I suppose it's ok as long as you don't blow everything up. (If you get the normal spawn, instead of the bugged 1 infected spawn)

I don't understand how you guys are doing this rifle only method. If I try to start the mission without a weapon of each type I get a message saying "You must equip a weapon of each type to stark a rank up test!"

Well, in my case, I only used my rifle, but I still had all my weapon slots filled.

I was able to complete the test after the update. Just in case, I made sure to have weapons in all three slots, did not use any melee, did not kill anything (I just sat in cloak the whole time), used my Loki instead of Zephyr (who I used before), and did not leave the test area at any point. Don't know if different weapons and such will make a difference, just sharing.
