Melee 2.0

I've been one of the players desperately asking for a melee revamp and i'm glad we got one. I love the time based combo's, it implements some form of thinking rather than just spamming. I also like the fact that you can go in ninja style with just a melee weapon. The new katana is nice and it adds a nice cool factor as well. As for channeling, with the correct modding it can use basically 0 energy during use. I think it should be something a bit on the not overly costly, but you shouldn't just hold it down like it doesn't even drain energy. Overall I like this update, but I can't stress how important it is to keep a balance between melee and guns. By that I mean, I've pretty much lol'd around a lot of maps with just a melee weapon. I just ask that we don't get too "ambitious" with the melee system that guns become completely irrelevant. Because i'm seeing already full rooms of melee only frames. However overall I like this a lot, melee actually has usefulness now, along with more cool factor's and diversity.

No need to worry about melee being too powerful.  There will be plenty of melee-heavy runs for a week or so, then it'll balance out.  Guns are still 100% viable, and honestly are probably more effective than melee simply because you don't have to close the gap to kill your target.

 

Let the masses run wild and enjoy the Melee 2.0 hype for now, and we'll have to see how the dust settles after a week or so.

all i have to say is a katana doesn't fit very well. when u think of samurai u think of the katana and ninjas arnt exactly friends with samurais  actually quite the opposite

i have about 7 stances and i've done little farming

 

it's not that hard

 

just play the game and enjoy it, if you farm, you're gonna make yourself feel like you're doing work rather than playing a game and entertaining yourself.
