I find that it's a very low chance to parry when blocking & channelling. I've also found that equipping a Parry mod boosts this, to the point where I'm parrying nearly every melee strike.

Yes, if you want to get any mileage out of parries, you'll want to equip the Parry mod. Otherwise it's either unlikely or impossible to get the parry to actually proc.

If an enemy hits you with a melee attack while you're blocking and channeling, you'll stagger them and get a prompt to press E to execute them.

You have to channel when a enemy is about to attack, that seems to get the best results, put on the parry mod and you can just always channel.

Also i think that enemies have Parry resistence so some enemies can be parried allot easier then others.

It's all about training it. You just gotta learn the moment when you have to block. A friend of mine figured that you can keep holding block and only need to activate channel at the time you need to parry. Then you can execute them with E.

Is this only with melee enemies?

With the parry mod maxd out, I 1v1'd a moa in a locked tile, and blocked with dual ethers, channeling and not. The effect was the same, most shots blocked, none reflected.

Am I missing something?

Some enemies have a better chance to be parried then others, also some might be Unparryable.

This bites.

Parrying needs to be a skilled based mechanic, not a something that needs to be proc'd.

It is, you have to channel when a enemy is about to attack that is still timing, and even then theirs a % chance it doesn't work.

@Brothericarus: They fixed the bug. :)

The ability to reflect bullets while blocking is an entirely different thing - you need to have the Reflection mod equipped on your Warframe.
