When using Power Throw (the +Punch Through mod), even rank 0, a thrown weapon will detonate on its last bounce, dealing damage in a decent sized AoE. Damage seems to be a portion of the thrown damage.
Combining Power Throw with a maxxed Quick Return will make the thrown weapon detonate on its first contact with a hard surface. With max PT, it'll detonate on the 2nd or third enemy hit, or the first wall/floor/door etc. With rank 0, it'll explode no matter what it hits.
Thrown weapons just became my favorite again. Coupled with one of the longest slide attack distances, the thrown weapons are pretty awesome. Screw melee 2.0, combos, or blocking - I'm just happy for the Glaive buff :)
