Glaive - Midair Channeling Explosion Not Affected By Channeling Stats/mods

For those who don't know, when you have your throwing melee weapon equipped, you can press the channeling button while it's in midair to trigger an explosion (good AoE) that can damage the user if too close, and make it return to you immediately (making Quick Return obsolete if you fight with Glaive equipped).

 

However, this explosion trigger isn't affected by the channeling system in any ways.

- It does NOT use energy, even when you hit enemies with the explosion

- Damage is affected by regular damage mods, not by channeling damage mods

 

This is not a request to nerf this (though it is ridiculously strong and takes out the need to aim due to relatively big radius), but rather to fix it/make it work properly with channeling instead of a no risk, high reward (except self-damage if misused) powerful explosion.

 

However, in terms of utility and concept, I still think the explosion radius should be reduced (so that it's used in a situation where you miss your target by a feet), and to buff Power Throw back to its original glory.
