As of 13.0.4 I can literally jump higher by pressing spacebar than by walking over a bounce pad?

WTF? Is this a nerf or a bug?

Experienced this as both client and host

Bounce works like before if you hold the jump button while bouncing.

I tried it. It takes a while before you get used to it.

Now enemies take no damage and just fall over... DE made this completely useless if it's not a bug.

Wow, this is horrendous.

I can understand requiring teammates to hold Space to activate it to prevent trolling, but to require the same thing from the user and the enemies(!?) is simply ridiculous.

Bounce has many uses beyond simply placing it on the ground and using it as a launch pad to push yourself higher. Or in the case of hostiles, disorient them and temporarily hammer Corpus shields. I outlined a pretty fun and applicable use for Bounce on missions that share a map type with Io on Vauban's Wiki page. I can still use Bounce to reach impressive heights. Hit it at a slide and then jump going into it just so. You launch into the air like a rocket. This will also get you through malfunctioning Wormholes (except for those placed at handrails, I believe). Bounce is all about creativity.

I agree, if it's not a bug it's totally ridiculous from DE to have nerfed this fun skill. It's not OP it's just fun, and we intended to laugh hard each time we used it.

IT's just a skill for laughing : please DE don't try to be serious with everything so mundane, that's only lame... If it's not a bug it's only a shame to nerf this kind of skill instead of take a look at Blessing or this kind of gamebreaking powers....

If it was for trolling concerns, I honestly wish DE would've just made it not affect other players. That way it would at least still be useful to caster. Right now, it's useless to EVERYONE.

Not right now since it barely has any effect.

I'm not an avid Vauban user, but aside from bounce suddenly being "bugged" I got a question to those who use vauban more or main him. I recently had an encounter with the stalker and I tossed a couple of telsa around and they didn't do anything. Was Stalker always immune to being targeted by telsas?

Worst stealth bandaid ever. Even with trying to jump while running at it, which isn't too hard on a flat plane, try chaining bounces over various elevations, or using Bounce on an incline?

Nigh impossible unless your timing of the still clunky parkour and movement are of a mechanical precision. Even then there's no guarantee.

CHANGE IT BACK DE.

CHANGE.

IT.

BACK.

DE it was just for FUN, who does really care for trolling except noobs anyway ?

I've never seen anyone complaining on this forum for the bad vauban trollers, never, so why have you done this stupid nerf instead of taking care of more really urgent important stuff ?!?

with this kind of stupid stealth nerfs, I begin to slowly loose any faith in DE, gradually but surely....

Sorry you feel that way. I was playing with Bounce all week. You have to slide into it (when it's flat on the ground), then press jump for a flip. It will launch you into the air like a rocket. Of course, I don't see why you want to use Bounce on yourself this way. I'd rather it increase my forward motion, which is what I directed you to. The changes allow you to hit enemies affected by Bounce easier. They are disoriented for a short time after hitting the pad. When I use Bounce on myself, Bounce is not flat on the ground, and I go into the pad at a slide from behind (I hit the edge of the pad), then copter with Ichor, Zorens, etc.. It's like a slipstream effect.

If you set up Vauban's 'House of Bounce' you can 'Slam Dance'. It's pretty fun and easy with the reduced Bounce heights.
