Witth The Release Of Melee 2.0 And It's Included Galatine Nerf, What Is The "best" Melee Weapon?

Pre melee 2.0 my potatoed/formad galatine was all i really needed melee wise, but with it's nerf i was wondering what some other good melee weapons were. I know the dragon nikina is powerful, but that'll take time to acquire. Any suggestions guys?

Unfortinately that doesn't really help for some of us. Pre-update 13, I was fighting level 60+ enemies solo, and I can't really do that now. I really need some help on this too.

So far i got the best performance out of weapons with a balance of damage and speed

You need a little speed so the counter ranks up but decent damage so the combo is worth it.

Dual Cleaver

Ether Reaper

Reaper Prime

For the general need

Jat Kittag

Bo

Amphis

Amazing pocket CC

All around the Dragon Nikana seems to be the best all around melee.

The damage is big, the speed decent, it can hit multiple targets, range is enough to hit backwalking targets.

Tips:

Dont use the channel nonstop, normal weak hits allow you to get bigger combos on easy targets.

Element builds get you close damage to channel setups without the need to burn to much energy.

Laser doors can be dealed with if you use slide attacks, the attack animation counts first.

You can channel block the grinner scan doors sometimes, i didnt learn how to do it regular yet. But it is possible.

The only issue with slide attacking through the laser doors is that you still take the damage from them. I haven't tried the Grineer doors yet, but I can brute force my way through the Corpus laser doors by jump kicking towards the door and blocking while in the air. Blocking will negate the shield damage, and the momentum from the jump kick will carry you through the door as the blocking animation plays.
