Freeze Or Fire?

What is better Freeze damage or Fire damage on a pistol? Also while we are talking about fire and ice, Who is better, Frost or Ember? I feel Fire does no damage over time, while the freeze seems to slow and do more damage over time.

Neither do DoT.

Freeze does double damage to shields, fire does double damage to infested. So it depends on the faction you're fighting as to which is better.

You can put both mods on a single weapon and still get the effects of both though.

More damage to all Corpus units, stagger effect. Fire stagger organic enemies too.

You want raw damage, all kinds of elemental damage and multishot. Regardless of the weapon.

I thought they did DoT. Well who is better Ember or Frost? Frost is like a tank(i heard) but doesn't do as much damage as Ember would.

Frost is better than Ember, unless you're fighting Infested [Ember's skills do less damage to Grineer/Corpus].

That's not really an option though,considering you have 60 mod capacity at most.
