Remember beta is beta. So we don't know where DE intends to take the game. Until we have an offical, "this is what we want to do" list, I'm not sure how good the game will be. I don't think there is a lot of things need to be changed, but a lot still needs to be added. He wouldn't state the date since it's still in beta... that would be a pretty dumb move really... Besides he's basically a game jornalist, don't think he'd be doing alot of amature moves. I do think alot of things need to change tough... alot more to be added surely but alot of to be changed as well. Also to add to the questions: 1- The level design at the current state is pretty weak, i've been playing the game for 3 days and on the first day i had alredy memorized every single ship layout there is just so you have an idea of how small it is, really makes it more boring so more layout areas should definitly be added. As for the variance, i belive the random system alredy does that really well, but the same ship design, voices and enemies all the time gets boring EXTREMELY fast, alot of people will get turned off by this. I am aware that more designs are coming but if i may voice my opnion i belive there should be a unique ship design for each race (expect for infected, since they basically take over a alredy existing ship), since they have different tecnology so they will surely have different design choises. 2- The gunplay is pretty simplistic at this moment, there are some tricks here and there but they are more to show off instead of being helpful. One thing i would like to see are some warframes that are capable of performing different things towards gunplay, let's say we are going to a infestatation level, we know they will melee alot, so we select a mobile warframe or good melee combat warframe, let's say this mobile warframe has a skill wich allows him to stay stuck on ceiling near him or on walls, giving him time to avoid melee swarms and keeping him safe and also allowing for some new areas to take cover from enemy fire. Also probably add more moves that could be indeed useful to be mixed up with gunplay. 3- The learning curve is fine in my opnion, it's all pretty self explanatory, i do not like the tutorial system tough. it does it's job at explaining the basics, but the extra stuff, like jumping and hitting melee can stun oponents, or that you can slide, air flip and etc should also be explained, in this case add a writen tutorial about "Advanced moves list", so people can get to know then on the game itself intead of having to go to the forums to know about it. 4- Solo difficulty should really be adjusted, as it stand solo gameplay is not rewarded in any way even tough it's the same diffculty as CooP. Either add more enemies on CooP play, or make then more higher leveled to compensate the fact that there are more players. It's not impossible to solo, but some bosses are ALOT of trouble for solo players especially when they have means to counter you in alot of ways, those should have their skills get a bigger cooldown during soloplay. 5- Credits market is fine in my opnion, platinum however is way too expensive, in my case i'd be paying double since i live in Brazil and our currency is like half the value of a dolar, but that's beside the point. I think lowering the cost on platinum or ofering more platinum when buying would be nice, because quite frankly i don't think alot of people are willing to pay alot for weapons (it's the same deal in Planetside 2 where a weapon can cost up to 15 dolars). So yes, it needs balancing. 6- If it stays the way it is, people will be going away for lack of content, slashing and gunning is fun but it's not gonna hold everyone forever. Maybe later down the line develop a gigantic raid area, with alot of bosses trough the way, or some minigames that diversify from the regular gameplay. 7- Melee combos should be a little more diverse, the basic things to do now area either spam the hell out of the melee button or run up to a enemy while charging it up. Probably should give more combos to melee specialised warframes (ex:excalibur), allowing then to be more deadly at close range instead of having everyone be the same melee wise. 8- There should definitly be more story, lore is a big part of any game and alot of people like it. Maybe add cutscenes in certain missions that explain the lore a bit, or more interesting let your character find secret area, that can only be found in missions in wich you deviat from the mission path, in wich, you'll find a vault wich papers or similar and inside those you'd find historical info on the races or even current events happening around. 9- This falls into variety and content, without both this game will not live long enough ( as in having alot of players). The free to play will atract new people but they will be put off by the lack of people playing, or even the fact that the game is pretty repetitive at the current state. More should be added to avoid this and periodical events on the game should be made to keep people in (nothing too fancy, maybe have hunts, or double exp for certain hours or even random prizes for beating a certain area). A active game with events usually gets to keep alot of people playing since it shows activity. 10-The AI definitly needs a big boost, sometimes they glitch out ( i was fighting a boss who wouldn't shot me after i knocked him down), and have then be more challenging, most of the time they do fine, running for cover and avoiding you so they don't take full damage, the only thing i think is the most important i have then not derp around and stand on the line of fire... We're here to discuss and come to conclusions as a community. Opinions on TB's statements essentially. Release dates aren't really what we're worried about.Ingway had a perfect example of what I wanted yo all to do. I have my own opinions i was just sitting out and waiting for the proper time to post.
