SethSamson Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 You really should take a break and step back ... stop adding new S#it and fix all the details .. like askew placement of weapons on warframes . textures .. the whole warframe code is like house of cards .. they put something new in the right .. and the left side is crumbling down .. u adding new system which has no connection to others .. there is no proper collision system so combos feel like blind swinging a stick in the air u talk that the combos in warframe are like in DMC ... ha .. faaaar from it .. and why i can only use combos when i have the melee equip ... why combos don't involve guns also .. 50 min on Void Survival T3 = 6x Ember Prime helmets .. omg come on ... !!! Dragon Nikana is in market but Plain Nikana is in dojo ... that should be other way around ... The Game is AWESOME don't get me wrong ... but u killing it with unfinished ,underdeveloped details ... like for exp ... when u equip Scindo ... im love it how Rhino is holding it .. but why it goes through the floor ... it would be nicer to feel it's weight and the collision with the floor .. drag marks and sparks or Galatine it should be held in two hands .. and lie on shoulder and FINALY FIX the gathering of squad Tenos around solar system .. etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc ... take a break and step back ..
se05239 Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I think what SethSamson is trying to say is that you should start working on polish, rather than add more stuff. I kinda agree.
Sol420 Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 your english could use a bit of work but I mostly agree. However, What do you mean combos with guns? It's shooting something, what combos do you need to add?
Sasquatchias Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I agree as well, next few updates should be focused on bugs, fixes, and a few other things rather than adding new content. An example would be getting around to balancing the mods for guns a bit better so that we don't oneshot everything low/mid leveled and use our entire supply of ammunition to kill one high leveled guy. Also Armor 2.0 would be great.
Brahmastra Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Sounds good, but not gonna happen anytime soon.
Anunymau5 Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I don't entirely understand you strange obsession with the ellipsis.
AscendantWyvern Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I'm guessing that you want DE to fix the constant...and long-lived issues? Such as price inconsistencies in the market, Clan tech on the market, diluted void drops, horrid RNG, poor AI and damage scaling, and the list can go on and on. Yes...Yes I agree.

It's shooting something, what combos do you need to add? im DMC u have combos like ... u stab one enemy with melee .. and shoot in face other .. and that's is the idea of combos that when u have enough of hits u do the combo .. that kills any one in range even with low dmg weapons .. just go to YOUTUBE and type in Devil My Cry Combos and u will see what i have in mind http://youtu.be/us6Q1fcLI7U Edited April 15, 2014 by SethSamson
UncaIroh Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I agree with most of these points, but I wouldn't want a DMC clone in here. But I do want er... "meatier" melee hits, even if it doesn't kill them. Nikana and Dragon Nikana switching -> great idea. As for settling down and cleaning everything up before the next patch: yes, definitely.
Adamusa Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I would like to see the ability to wield a melee weapon in one hand and a pistol in the other, but I suspect that's outside of Warframe's capabilities, at least for now. Definitely agreeing with cleaning up what's already here though.

LtZerge Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 This is a problem with every active development game I've ever played. Literally everyone has this topic come up, because there is always bugs somewhere. It won't happen like you think, there's a time in a normal development cycle for trying to fix certain bugs, and by sheer force of man-power the player base will always find more things wrong than the devs could in any reasonable time span. They will not stop adding new content just to patch things, they will try to do both and once. ACD games (active content development) almost never do this because 'new shinies' is perceived as more important than 'occasional server latency caused billy to double log-in and it's confusing people trying to PM him but it's really hard to fix, etc', but bug fixes are never disregarded. It goes like this for every ACD gameHave a base gamefix some stuff with the game/Work on new contentfind some bugs with new contentRelease new contentPlayers find bugs in new content, some unique to the live serverssee step 2See ACD games rely on a steady stream of content releases to generate revenue, as it's directly related to the market. DE has stated directly that they won't just hault content development to patch up stuff because less content = less revenue. However obviously there needs to be quality to the content to sell, but catching all the bugs that can occur on the live servers before they happen is sometimes just not possible. It's just more reasonable to have it 'good enough' and let the most ruthless bug testers, the players, take charge.Bug fixes are always being worked on but some things just aren't simple. Programmers know the true hell that is 'spaghettified' code that can occur with big projects.
Llyssa Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 You can trade the helms. The people making new stuff and the people who fix things are two entirely different groups of people who work for the same 1 company. BOTH nikana require clan tech right now. Under your idea, only one would. Minor details like the stuff you're talking about 1: are being worked on, and 2: have somewhere north of 8,000 different little things to work on. If the company ONLY focused on that, there'd be nothing new for a year.

Literally everyone has this topic come up, because there is always bugs somewhere. ..... i know this Work Flow etc ... but hey the players would understand ( i think ) if they would skip two or three Wednesdays updates with new content .. just for polishing some stuff .. cause if they don't stuff like Mitter suddenly shooting vertical will ALWAYS happens . Stuff that should be done polish and lock ...

I need to remind you that it was de who started adding new things before fixing what they already had thats why they have 8000 different little things to work on now instead of 500, 7 updates ago and if they release more patches without fixes this number will become even higher. The sooner they start the faster they will get it done. Edited April 15, 2014 by Davoodoo

That's not a "bug" that needs fixing, it's two minor details that mean eff-all to most of us. One is something they are working on, the other is kind of stupid "bonus effect" that would ACTUALLY BE ADDING SOMETHING TOTALLY NEW ANYWAY. There is a team working on the way weapons lay, and it has JACK ALL to do with all the rest of the game. Get a clue.
Cpl_Facehugger Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Dragon Nikana is in market but Plain Nikana is in dojo ... that should be other way around ... In case you didn't notice, the Dragon Nika needs a plain Nika to make. ;)
Velmarshal Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) I agree. Just to add to it. When was the last time they released a weapon bp in the market, you know, for the players with no clans to buy and craft or OH GOD NO, TO BUY A FINISHED WEAPON WITH CREDITS (Anyone here that still remembers those days)? Not to mention that everything is now behind a grindwall (or atrocious RNG, new Hek and Oxium drones being the "prime" examples. Get it? pun intended). 40 mins on orokin survival and what do we get, 6 mag prime chasis, jesus... If I wanted to spend most of my time grinding I'd buy Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls, at the very least Blizzard listens to their players (still no LAN, for which I still hate them, but thats off topic). And may I remind you, how long did those update last? One frame was released along with a few weapons. Some lucky players got all three parts and started crafting within hours after the update was deployed. That's means 5-6 weeks of work was totally irrelevant within 3.5 days. Cool, right? Hell, no. Update longevity plays an important factor why DE has been adding multi-layered RNG to prevent players from finishing the content too quickly. Doing so giving them time to. A. Create more content. B. Fix more bug. With game in active development, you won't see a bug-free version of it anytime soon. As soon as you add more stuff, it falters and you fix it. It's an unending cycle. If you want an example of PvE shooter that actually almost bug-free then look at ME3MP. Each update was release around three months interval and what did they release? Two maps and two more characters. Seriously, a triple A title got just that from a team of 50 within three months. And they were just almost bug-free. At least you got one thing right, Warframe isn't a standard shooter that relies solely on "skill" of the player. It's closer to Diablo and Borderlands with systemic progression and lootfest locked behind RNG.
Davoodoo Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) What? No. Just, no. He said he wants sparks to fly when his weapon drags on the ground, and for it to rest a certain way. There is a team working on the way weapons lay, and it has JACK ALL to do with all the rest of the game. Get a clue. I see it other way.Our melee have completely no impact, you see a ball of meat which is grineer bombard getting slashed by 4 katanas and he doesnt even bleed. Sheer amount of blows we are dealing to enemy should staggerlock him yet they stand like nothing happens. You slash few meters thick wall and your weapon wont bounce off or at least give any sign that youre slashing wall instead of air. I see it as serious flaw in melee 2.0 that should be fixed, so what if we can do fancy combos when they have completely no effect. If you say that this isnt important i say that whole combo system wasnt important and there was no reason to implement it in 1st place. If it wasnt important then why de wasted time creating it when they could be fixing serious bugs, work towards balance, reducing power curve mainly to improve new player experience. Its one of newest things that actually need fixing but there are much more, i dont say that it should be fixed now, there are more important things to do but its one things that showed in recent update and releasing next update will bring another few and if they wont be fixed the amount will increase.
