...Hydroid. umadforums?

Seriously though, I don't get the hate for melee 2.0. Everyone is letting their entitled Americanism show a little too much imho; instant gratification this, and instant gratification that... You're all acting like whiny *@##$es, and it's frankly annoying.

You know who you are, and so do we.

As far as I'm concerned, DE made this patch to last, and considering what it was that was updated, and the fashion in which it was updated, making us grind for stances is completely understandable. Sure maybe we could have gotten one common stance card with each weapon, but that would too easily dilute the mod "market" so to speak. Now when you find a stance mod you want, its super exciting! People use the argument "we shouldn't have to grind hours a day to get them!"

Actually... yeah, you kind of should.

I'm sorry, this is a F2P MMO. Why exactly are you surprised that there's a significant amount of grind in it? If Rome was built in a day, we wouldn't give much of a S#&$ about its architecture (because it wouldn't be around today).

I personally enjoy the grind. Its a road to achievement that, while tedious, is extremely rewarding. So stop whinging like  a bunch of entitled kids and enjoy the goddamn update. F***.

A rant disguised as a troll. Well played good sir, well played. But I do agree, some people are being too entitled (although for things like tranquil cleave, they're right. Rare mods on enemies that spawn is very small amounts? For a mod that is required to make a sword function at the highest tier? No thanks)

Some people are too entitled. Agreed.

However however, the grind in warframe isn't okay for many reasons. Having to wait and work for something is fine, but having no indication of progress and no guarantees makes the grind terrible. The lack of difficulty balance doesn't help either.

Exactly this.

This makes Warframe feel worse than a korean mmorpg.

Frontier/ Arid Butchers are quite common on both Earth and Phobos. However, since Earth is a low level planet, there is less chance to get the rare mod drops from enemies. I, however, got my Tranquil Cleave from Earth, but I would have preferred to do it on Phobos if I had a Grineer controlled survival or defense, as there would be a higher chance for them to drop a rare mod.

Kepler I believe is still grineer (might be mixing nodes, sorry). The issue with Phobos however is the massive mix of bombards, heavy gunners, eviscerators, and napalms, all wishing the first 10 minutes. And of course Earth is low level so rare drops and all that jazz.

Double agreed.

You don't even need to bring in "F2P MMO," OP(even though the game isn't even an MMO-Lite just yet). Tons and tons of Pay to Pay games are just the same or have even more.

People: "Pay to play and I have to grind? Why am I even questioning this, it's just how these games work."

People: "Free to play and I have to grind? OMGLMAOWTF ARE THEY TRYING TO MAKE ME BUY EVERYTHING?!"

Yeah, they it's definitely not perfect and DE has a loooot of fixing to do. There's no arguing there.

It's just went people whine about grind and RNG solely because it's grind and RNG.

It's almost like some people heard others complaining about some grinds and drop table values, totally misunderstood the concept behind it all, started to paint a general picture over RNG and grinding, and had tons more sheep just follow by example.

Ah ok, forgot that heavies would spawn more often as it is higher level :P

A problematic trend in this update is that they are extending RNG grinds to include gameplay elements such as melee 2.0 stances. I totally agree that you need grind to extend the life of the game but there are many elements in update 13 that was ridiculous:

Decay for rare argon crystals (This so far is not a huge effect but it sets a very bad precedent for future content as it introduces urgency which is not needed for a grinding game).

Stance mods drops are not easily accessible (A possible improvement would have been to give all players 1 or 2 common, read COMMON, stance drops as a means of introducing melee 2.0 and then having players to grind the rest).

Vay Hek (Delta beacons being rare was not cool given how many runs you need to get hydroid in the first place). A model for grinding that was rather balanced was the Nekros. The mechanic involved a very nice balance of working towards a key to access lephantis for the part drops. Key construction was not overly tedious compared to vay hek's triangulation key needing 26 new beacon parts.
