1.Recently confirmed as being so, yes.

2.The exact opposite. The Corpus proliferate using capitalism, not socialism, as their way of seizing and manipulating their power and influence over others. The Grineer are much more like a communist state (you could almost argue the Grineer are modeled after the USSR directly), where the government is in direct and complete control of every aspect of the society, culture, economy, etc. (Other examples of similarities - excessive propaganda, constantly seeking new territory to conquer, will kill all those who are not them, and many more)

3. Technically speaking all missions are doable in Solo mode, but that will depend entirely on your skill as a player.

4. This Dark Sector is not the same Dark Sector that Warframe is directly related to.

5. Dark Sector(s) in Warframe now refers to special nodes that have bonuses associated with them. Go to a Dark Sector on the Warframe star chart and read the tutorial about them.

6. As it was just recently that DE confirmed that the original Dark Sector and Warframe are linked, no sources are available yet.

7. What?

So you're telling me that because the Grineer are an Empire, and that technically the USSR was not a text book empire, that means then there are absolutely NO similarities between this

and this

Um, what?

It's interesting considering most historians are smart enough to recognize that the USSR was composed of a particular nation, soviet Russia, that was pretty much in charge of and ruled over a bunch of other puppet nations. Some would call that an empire, but they called themselves a Republic, so hey what do I know.

Let's break it down a bit.

The Grineer Empire is:

- Controlled by a 2 queens who seem to hold join power over ever aspect of the empire (ie. economy, goals, etc)

- A race of beings who are created to all be identical to each other and have no will of their own (ie. no choice in job position)

- Focused solely on military strength, which is the driving force in their society

- Employ large amounts of harsh propaganda (ie. "BE GOOD OR BE GONE" which is the Grineer motto)

- Seek to conquer the entire system and expand their influence through military force

- Seek to destroy all those who stand in their way (As Vay Hek put: "The Tenno hate our superiority, we will put them out of their jealous misery. The Tenno hate our way of life. Etc etc).

The USSR was:

- A totalitarian 'union' of nations controlled by a single nation through military and political force

- composed of a society of people who were brought up to be identical to each other and have no will of their own (ie. almost no choice in job position)

- Focused heavily on military strength (see: Cold War), and was one of the driving forces in their society

- Employ large amounts of harsh propaganda (a bunch of examples: http://v4valentine.tripod.com/SPP/MA0102_Index.htm)

- Sought to spread socialist influence across the world

- Sought to destroy all those opposed to socialism (Or as Stalin (1913) put: "Only under the reign of socialism can peace be fully established.")

So, how about now?

The writing is most definitely NOT Russian, and that was not the point I was trying to make at all. Grineer writing is its own thing.

As far as the Grineer language (speaking) is concerned, it has been speculated that it is as a combination of a bunch of human languages, such as English, Russian, German, French, and possibly others, which is why much of what they say sounds very similar to languages such as English ("Tenno Skoom!" is largely considered to translate as "Tenno scum!").

The Grineer Empire have more in common with fascism than communism. Edited by Ataire
