"original" Names Of The Stances

Disclaimer: The following is just for fun.

 

It has always struck me that the names of the stances seems like some (awkward) translations from some oriental language. If so, what would be the "original" names of the stances be?

 

For fun, I did a "first version" (not related to any localization translations) and generated the characters as images.

There are some which are not direct translations of the english names, for aesthetic sake.

 

Please add in if you have any thoughts/suggestions for the "original" names (if you happen to know chinese/japanese).

Perhaps next we can think up "original" names for the combos? :P
