Jwarframe - 1.2.1 (Alert And Invasion Notifier For Windows/linux/mac)

Well that's only happens when you open the program... or not?

When I open the program.Haven't tested on the alerts yet

EDIT: Still loops

The sound loops forever. I think it's a feature.

Maybe GoldenGnu could add a setting.

A toggle loop would help. The looping is helpful when I'm away and an alert went out while i'm not in front of my computer. The looping is bad when I'm playing Warframe or any game because I need to alt tab just to stop the beep

Maybe GoldenGnu could add a setting. He should add the ability to play a different sound on each app tab. So what do you want the option to be: global, or per tab?

A "clean expired alerts" could be a good addition too.

@CookingFood

I will add a clear button..

Thank you for your feature suggestion! :)

@Ambisyon_Ni_Batman

I will add an option to only play the sound once.

Thank you for your feature suggestion and trying the beta! :)

@Tazmanyak

The ToDo list is growing faster than I can code it, so, it will be a while before I get everything done, sadly...

Just a small update:

I have completed:

-Easier zoom in the reward tools

-Customizable notify sound for each reward tab (+ login reward)

-Clear done alerts button

-Match really big credits

-Save/Load filter lists

EDIT:

-Save zoom (per tab)

I need to do:

-Data update from Tazmanyak (weapon skins icon)

When I complete the rest, I will release a new beta and probably stop adding features until after 1.0.0 is released.

I have to thank everyone who have contributed bug reports, feature suggestions and other feedback! :)

We are getting close to the first stable release.

now you added options to set sound per tab, i will certainly refine my tabs a little more :)

thank you for all the new options, you did great job here :)

About the save/load filters, the menu is in a submenu. I was hoping for something easier to use, like a button on the main window, or accessible on the systray icon. But, as it is right now, it's really better! i thank you for it!!

Will fine tune options tomorrow, more tabs coming! :D

@GoldenGnu: Now a few days i play with the new version.

A few things to notice, mostly concerning the filters list ...

First, i would like to easily see what filter is loaded, could it be displayed in the window titlebar? After Jwarframe BETA3 maybe?

Or, in the bottom bar, next to the number of active alerts/invasions

About the "Filters" menu. it works as it should right now, but ... i thought about a dual panels view?

On the left, the Lists list, on the right, the items contained in the list.

The loaded list is selected by default, double clicking a list loads it

I think you may be behind a proxy server? It tries to read the wrong url: https://1.1.1.1/login.html?redirect=[CORRECT-URL]

If you're behind a proxy server you have two options:

1) Disable it...

2) Read the answer on StackOverflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/120797/how-do-i-set-the-proxy-to-be-used-by-the-jvm

Please, let me know if you're able to fix it - I'll try my best to get it working on your machine again! :)

@Tazmanyak

The list thing is still beta quality, it does not update the loaded list, when you change it - you have to re-save it to update it ATM.

I think you're idea is great, I just do not have a lot of time to work on jWarframe ATM. but, I'll do it as soon as I have time...

As far as I know, I don't have any proxy server in my home wifi. Although the issue started happening after I connected to a wifi which had a proxy server. That might be related to the cause

Then I will add in-program proxy settings - hopefully that will fix it. It may be a week or more before it's done, sadly, as I'm going on vacation...

Also, try the following (from the command line):

java -Djava.net.useSystemProxies=false -jar jwarframe.jar

....there is a small change it will fix it :)

It returns with an error with the BugID17

Small notice for you GoldenGnu:

Using the -portable option, i think my settings will not be overwriten by your defaults when updating.

I think it would need some kind of confirmation, but this may be great news, as everything wont have to be redone each patch for users with custom configs ;)

@Tazmanyak

I will look into it, when I get back and have more time :)

I can add a -nodateupdate command line option to ignore data updates, if you like. I really need to move the data update to the same system as the program update, so the files are validated, but, that is for another day...

Well, moving config files to the app folder is a good idea, globally.

Then, either keep the -portable option to keep the customization safe, or you can add -noupdate command. it's up to you :)
But yep, a way to prevent overwriting of the user settings would be great!
