I've been noticing lately (maybe since Melee 2.0?) that attacks on downed enemies are frequently just... missing. Standing on flat ground on the same level as a downed enemy, I'm far too often seeing the attack go off and deal no damage at all, and then of course I don't get to try again, I just have to attack spastically while they're getting up and their friends are ripping me apart.

Might be noteworthy: I'm noticing this a lot more with Dual Ether than I have been with any other melee weapons, but it's been getting me killed with all of them.

I think I've determined the cause: collision detection. The animations for many melee executions don't seem to have the centre of the targeted enemy as the projected end point for the weapon. Let me explain...

With the Dual Ether, for example, the animation is a downward stabbing attack with both weapons simultaneously, but this animation almost always brings the warframe too far forward, resulting in the weapons doing the finishing move PAST the intended target and colliding with nothing but ground. Thus we have a finishing move that doesn't connect with the target and does no damage.

This is kind of a big deal and needs to be a high priority to fix!
