Reach And Gleaming Talon?

I'm wondering, does reach affect Gleaming Talon's range? Or does it just affect the weapon's range, like let's say the actual weapon is .5m or something. Does a maxed Reach make the weapon .8m across now? Or does the throwing range of when you do your combo for Gleaming Talon get farther?

Anyone have an answer to this? Thanks.
