Vaskadar
Well, with the heralded buffs of older weapons (Snipers in particular), I was curious about the return of the Snipetron as the premier puncture sniper. If it does receive any attention, that is. Perhaps a remodel of the Lanka to go along with its re-release if it ever comes back. I've kept my extra blueprint for quite some time. The sniper rifle category itself is pretty weak, but giving them innate punch through would be a step in the right direction. So... that being said, how many of you think it should be brought out of the vault and reworked to be far more powerful? Aure7
punch trough for ALL snipers is weird, maybe a very tiny distance. Snipetron vandal does not feel weak at all for me last time I used it, then again, I am not running 24/7 8 forma soma to compare.
DiBBz
anyone remember the good old days when the gorgon was the most OP weapon and could kill anything far away like a sniper xD except it was a chain gun xD
Warriorrogue
Snipetron will not return It was removed for lore reasons, and the model is now used for lanka, However, I would not mind upgrading the vulkar to the snipetron's old stats.

DoomsDayDan
Why not remodel lanka and re-introduce. It still doesn't fit with the lore because it's a Corpus gun that shoots bullets, and then they added Lanka as the Corpus' DEW sniper rifle instead of making Snipetron an energy weapon so now it just has no reason to exist anymore
XRAY0128
GAME OVER RETURN OF SNIPETRON On a serious note, they aren't much sniper rifles on the market right now, and it would be neat to see more. On the OTHER hand, this game doesn't seem very sniper friendly most of the time.
yarash2110
All snipers are unused for end game, they got such a small amount of damage combined with the rof and resulting in a terrible weapon, vulkar, vectis, are there any others? Lanka doesn't need a buff but i think these two need one fast
BrazilianJoe
Vectis should be the ultimate one-bullet cannon. It's also a Tenno weapon, and should have a Prime counterpart. Prime variant should still have only one bullet but better stats.

As the Mk 1 braton is originally a Corpy gun with doodads and on (which was a Corpy attempted copy of the Braton Prime. That would eventually lead to better refinement by the Lotus to create the standard braton and braton vandal) before they went on to lazer beams. WarOverlord
Just re add the bp in the login rewards. Why not include all the unobtainable weapons.

Lanka doesn't need a buff but i think these two need one fast You're lieing to yourself if you think the Lanka doesn't need a buff. The biggest thing the Lanka has going for it is the ability to go pure corrosive. Given a maxed Serration, maxed Point Strike (unecessary on bows, as the Dread will hit 100% crit at Point Strike r3 and the Paris Prime at r4), maxed Vital Sense and Hammer Shot, and maxed Stormbringer and Infected Clip... The normalized Corrosive-Only damage (meaning this number is low as the bow will deal other elements as well) is ~12,761 vs ~11,067. In favor of the bow. Factoring in total damage dealt, we're looking at an aproximate 8783 raw damage difference between the bow and the Lanka (in favor of the bow). While the Lanka's crit is harder in the pure corrosive realm (by around 46%), the bow is dealing its crits 100% of the time and has more total damage per crit by ~653... Seeing as the Dread has puncture on full charge, the only remaining "feature" of the Lanka that the Dread doesn't have is the Lanka's 1.5 second charge time. Dread has a 1.0 second charge time. Face it, there's no reason to use the Lanka over a bow unless you're madly in love with her. anyone remember the good old days when the gorgon was the most OP weapon and could kill anything far away like a sniper xD except it was a chain gun xD And then you had the reign of Armor Bypass or Bust, where the Gorgon was abject S#&$ just like every other gun that didn't deal Armor Piercing, Physics Impact, Serrated Blade, or Toxin damage. Accurate weapons were almost able to get around this (at least vs Corpus) as non-Grineer (mostly) had unarmored weak points you could shoot instead. And the gorgon was neither accurate or bypassing. What you need is back when the Hek was a sniper rifle. THOSE were the DAYS.

And also, lanka is slightly easier to land a hit with, the travel speed, and no arc.
BrazilianJoe
snipers need a 'kill streak' multiplier per consecutive hit to keep up on high level missions, and a general buff overall to keep on par/viable weapon with new content. Snipetron won't come back, it does not fit the lore. If anything, Lanka needs to buffed, just like Vectis and that grineer one. Oh, and Vectis Prime, I'd like that. Vaskadar
What you need is back when the Hek was a sniper rifle. THOSE were the DAYS. I remember the days of 117 magazine Bratons, 24 magazine Boars that could shoot clear through entire rooms with 3.3m of puncture. Pepperidge Frame remembers.
