(Hi thanks for reading!)

(Use your comments to guide a nameless protagonist through the world of warframe.)

(Your orders, opinions, suggestions, and gibberish will be heard by this character, who will then respond accordingly.)

(Use parentheses if you don't want a certain part your comment to be heard in story.)

You see nothing, you feel nothing, you remember, nothing...
All you know, all you have ever known, is an empty darkness...
Time seems to pass instantly in this black abyss, as your thoughts leak from your mind as quickly as they come...

And then all of a sudden, you hear a sound in the darkness...

A whir, a click, and then something much louder, much stranger... it is a disembodied voice that says

Comment. There I finished your dare.

You are puzzled by this...

The clicking continues and you begin to wonder why the memories of these sounds aren't slipping from your mind...

A separate voice says.

Wake up! It's not safe here...not anymore, at least.

Confusion and doubt run through your frantic mind!

The pace of the clicking sound gets faster and more rapid as the strange sense of feeling begins to pour into your limbs.

There is a brief pause as the clicking stops...

Then your suddenly startled by a bright light shining through an ever widening crack in the dark!

(lemme know if I'm doing this wrong first time I've really seen something like this)

The blinding light was that of a fire erupting as nearby machinery exploded, klaxons begin blaring.
Unsure why these things are happening you frantically search for a way to a place of safety finding a map of the vessel you are aboard, reading it you find you are close to the engine rooms which seem to have just been set ablaze. With the armory nearby you believe it might be best to find a way to defend yourself before making your way to escape the dieing ship.

(Well yes sorry.)

(But hey I like the idea of using parentheses for out of story speech!)

(I will go add that to the OP, TY BTW :)

Yet another voice rings out.

The blinding light was that of a fire erupting as nearby machinery exploded, klaxons begin blaring.

As the crack of light get wider you manage to discern a shimmering surface in the distance, the best way you can explain it is like a vat of molten gold that was somehow tipped on its side without it pouring out.

The voice continues.

Unsure why these things are happening you frantically search for a way to a place of safety finding a map of the vessel you are aboard, reading it you find you are close to the engine rooms which seem to have just been set ablaze.

By this point the crack of light is more of a hole or window.

The light shines in and what you had originally thought was a massive expansion of empty space turned out to be a small casket.

You also notice metal bands restraining your arms and legs.

The voice finishes.

With the armory nearby you believe it might be best to find a way to defend yourself before making your way to escape the dieing ship.

The window stops getting wider.

You don't see any fire, you don't hear any alarms, and you can't find any maps.

But if the voice says its true then it must be true.

You must be hallucinating, that is the only possible explanation.

(Yes we are.)

(I have lots of plans for the future.  ^.^)

The metal bands slowly glow brighter,

You strain your eyes... but you don't see any change in luminosity.

brightening into an intense glare,

You begin trying to rustle your way out of the cuffs to no avail.

then with a click they are gone.

You stare at the restraints... they haven't budged an inch...

You sigh with disappointment.

Then they all suddenly click open simultaneously... and you begin to fall.

You hit the silver floor with a thud.

You immediately remember the long forgotten feeling of pain as you stand up, and take a brief glance around the room.

There are 2 doors on either side of you, a shimmering gold curtain or something in front of you, a wall with text on it behind you, and above that text is the small coffin like box you fell from.

An ethereal voice speaks, "Read."

An ethereal voice speaks, "Read."

You look closer the stylized golden text...  there are two words in a language you don't know, but can some how read...

It says. "Project Innovator"

Could this be your name?

Maybe its the name of the ship your on?

There is no way to know for certain.

It doesn't matter, Search for a way out.

You nod your head, and turn around.

You are immediately drawn to the simmering curtain of gold, but you as you near it you hear a crunching sound.

You look down at your feet and see some suspicious piles ash lying on the floor directly in front of the strange golden thing.

You look closer at the ash and see... bones... charred and degenerate fragments of bones.

Perhaps you should start with one of the two doors.

Indecision racks your brain as look at one identical door then the other.

choose the one on the left.

You head towards the elaborate silver doorway and peer into a curving hallway.

You keep an eye out for trouble as you slowly make your way down the corridor.

Then you come to a crossroad in which two hallways merge together and head to yet another door, judging by the curve it seems that both of the doors in the first room just lead to the same place, and a short walk confirms your theory.

So that means that there is only one other place you can go...

Unlike the first two this new door is closed.

You put your hand on it in frustration and it suddenly starts to move and hum.

You take your hand off it in shock, as you do it stops moving and falls silent.

You try to squeeze through the crack in the door.

As the door touches you it opens more until you get past.

You don't feel safe in the door, something about it seems... evil...

You shrug this feeling off and take a look around the giant circular room you find yourself in.

The center is decorated with a towering white plant of some kind and the roof is made of glass, but all you see outside is erratic colors.

And apparently there are 5 more doors that lead to this room.

You see gold text above each door.

Control Room, Dormitory, Storage, Maintenance, Research Lab, and the one you just came from is titled Gate Room.

Why are you here? Do I know you?

You shouldn't be here

...

Get out...

I can see you.

Go to the Research Lab. I'm already there.

This could be problematic...

Get out...

I can see you.

Go to the Research Lab. I'm already there.

You do as you are told and sprint across the room to the door.

You don't have time to hesitate at the door so you reluctantly put your hand on it until its open, but you run extra quickly when passing through it.

You run into a short hallway and end up in a small round room...

The entire room is ringed with shelves covered in disassembled tech and beakers of dried or corroded chemicals.

Several dust covered monitors are hung on the walls.

There is a chair facing away from you.

"Hello?" is the first word you have spoken since you gained consciousness.

Posted

It's too bad that you're here.

Not yet, Not yet.

Go around the chair, see who's sitting there.

You cautiously walk over to the chair and take a look...

Nothing the chair is empty...

That's disappointing...

Who ever was here must have left... but why would they do that?

They probably keep some sort of lab records here... maybe those could give you valuable information, but then again... there are many other places you still need to explore...
