IronRushBR
I had my hopes about this Helios "fix" today. Really! OMG, nothing changes. He simply can't scan nothing! Every time he looks to scan, my sentinel weapon kills the target first. DE, let's think together here... Make the helios scan instantaneous would break the balance of the sentinels? Make the dethcube's vaporize instagib would break the balance of the sentinels? Even with these changes Carrier and Shade would be better. Please, please guys... let's make all our fellows useful! What is the problem here guys? Edited May 2, 2014 by IronRushBR
ProfessorRobledo
• Fixed an issue with Helios scanning objects that have already been fully scanned. It said nothing about changing his scan speed, so why would you even expect that? Also, if he "can't scan nothing", then there's no problem since he's scanning something. And if the problem is that Helios is killing things itself, just unequip his attack precept.
IronRushBR
So simple, right? We haven't any problem. Just unequip the attack precept, since his scan takes 10 seconds to scan something. If yet not satisfied, change the sentinel. Perfect! Your post was very helpfull man, thank you! We had this week a topic about balance the sentinels. Because of that I had my hopes. Not after saw the patch notes yesterday and cos that I had my hopes.
LeMoog
Mine hasnt scanned anything in a while either, as to removing all weapons so it will actually doed the scanning, it would be like mario64 with a camera following you around, pointless anyway as you can just equip the codex scanner and use a working sentenal. I think that too LeMoog. For this thing works, it needs to be good and make the job well. If not well implemented, is much much better to choose another useful sentinel. I think this thought works for Djinn and Dethcube also.
-HAKUNA-YOUR-TATAS-
It seems to have gotten a bit better for me with regards to scanning things. It used to only keep scanning inanimate objects like hacking terminals, or barrels, etc. However, I agree it needs to scan faster.
Firetempest
They wont "fix" it. Mark my words, a helios mod for faster scans will come out. Then you can fix it.

So right now, is much better to use another sentinel instead. Helios needs to scan instantaneous and Dethcube needs to instagib the target, to help him scale better in high level gameplay. This will not brake the balance of anything. In fact, even with these changes, they will not be the best ones.
