Enemies Of The Tenno: Infested Submissions

I'm sort of thinking on a larger scale here, but I'll contribute anyways.

Since the release of the new Hydroid warframe, I really hoped for there to be an 'under the ocean' tileset. Not only would that give players an entirely new world to explore, but it would also open up a vast area for the addition of new enemies, mobs, bosses, additions to lore, etc.

Oh man all of these ranged/wall climing entries D: seems I was a little slow in making mine.

Ah well, too late now.

Name: Infested Spitter

Behavior: The Spitter is a an infested ranged enemy.  Its very quick and prefers to attack from unexpected angles, such as along walls or from the ceiling.

Attacks:  Prefers to hang back and launch deadly corrosive projectiles at its prey in two different fashions: The first is a rapid fire, needle-like spray attack, the second being akin to a sticky grenade. If cornered or forced into melee, its long, whip-like tongue can knock down targets, injecting them with a lethal toxin.

Environment Restrictions: None.

Name Suggestion: Fractal Legion

Behaviour: Fractal Legion are actually several small bodies together that fit your organization as needed.
They can be a huge colossus in the open crushing everything, or a snake creeping in ventilation or even a "wave" dragging his enemies to abyss Nearby
Your life does not measure the amount of damage, but the amount of individuals destroyed, if the number becomes too small it runs away. whenever two meet they join to form a larger one

Attacks: usually it attacks melee but if it is with lots of "life" he throws a bit of yourself that deals damage and knocks also generates a smaller fractal, but he loses life to do it.
he prefers sneak attacks when it is small and presents intelligent behavior, like running away of the tenno just to attract them to a large group of infestation or something

Environment restrictions:  none, it adapts to the surroundings

Name Suggestion: Flesh Wall

Behavior: One of the many demonstrations that the infestation itself is intelligent, this is essentially an infested only door.

Attacks: It does not actually deal damage, but they provide a huge advantage towards the infested. These come in two forms:

Vessel Snare: Identifiable by large infested growth along a door frame, these tentacles of flesh and the bones of victims long gone quickly snap out and snag any passing organism bar infested animals. They begin to release a toxin that relaxes the victims muscles effectively removing any resistance. The only way to get out is to muscle you're way out or have an ally shoot off the tentacles.

Nawtadore: Previous entryways are blocked by this hulking wall of flesh. This phenomenon occurs when a Vessel Snare captures enough unaware targets. Think and tough flesh block entryways for anything not infested. The only proven method of destruction for this thing is fire; lots and lots of fire.

Environment Restrictions: These can only spawn on doorways and are immobile.

Name Suggestion:  Sonic Pulsar

Behavior:  Sonic Pulsars fly through the maps at the highest speed of all infested units.  With acute hearing they can detect even the steps of invisible units and alarm all enemies within range.  When under fire they will hide until reinforcements arrive where they pop out with debilitating area of effect attacks.  As the only aerial unit they try to create their own network of communication organizing into mobs rather than attacking one by one.  Sonic Pulsars themselves tend to fight together traveling in groups of three at fixed distances between other groups.

Attacks:

Blackout - Releases blacks as they fly around that dim the player's view.

Sonic Pulse - Sends shock waves that disorientate their enemies radar and ability to focus on abilities.  Damage is done when waves bounce off walls hitting the opponent repeatedly.  When attacking in unison with other Sonic Pulsars they do additional damage.

Concussion Wave - With no allies nearby Sonic Pulsars resort to attacking on their own.  They focus their waves into a single point that pierces through enemies.

Environmental restrictions - Thrive on enclosed spaces where all of their effects are at their max.  Sticker closer together in open areas.

my idea is kinda odd ... i don't have any new enemy:

but, you guy remember in some of Warframe Trailer, there's a Butcher that holding gun ?

my though is why not make enemy skin/armor/suit change base on the difficulty of the lever ?

Example the Grineer Lancer:

difficulty 1: have Butcher skin, hold a Gakata

difficultly 2: have Frontier Butcher skin, hold a Gakata

difficultly 3: have a Grineer Lancer skin, hold a Hind

difficultly 4: have Elite Lancer skin: hold a Karak

difficultly 5: i dunno what to put in him, but i hope he's gona be badassidy-awesome :P

by doing this, we will have multiple type of enemy by only releasing 1 new enemy, we'll have a good time while DE save time thinking for a new enemy :D

and how will each difficult become harder ? Easy, the higher the difficult the more chance that each individual enemy will gave you a proc.chance. That's it.

im so sorry about my English

Name- Fraylon (Similar to French for hornet)

Small infested creatures similar to hornets with slight variations and about the size of an osprey.  They do not deal much base damage, but attack fast and are a threat in large groups. They deal a poisonous D.o.T. that does not do much damage by itself but can stack, with a chance to paralyze (or cause hallucinations to, whichever is easier to code) the Tenno if stung enough (number of stings required based on armor).  After stinging a certain number of times the stinger will be implanted in the last target, at which point they will try to dive towards the nearest target and cause a small explosion the strength and radius equivalent to 1/4 or 1/5 of that of a charger. The stinger will cause extra poison damage for a short while before falling out of the target.

Design- They look like a hornet with 6 wings, with 4 where they would normally be located and 2 near the thorax. They have 3 eyes. They have no legs. A single wing and the stinger can each grow to between 1 or 2 feet.

Spawn Bias- They have a chance to spawn from the corpses of infested (I.E. 3-5 Fraylon per corpse as an example) if it is not disintegrated, badly dismembered, or has been cut in half (no severe trauma).

Attacks

Sting- Causes weak but stackable poison damage that stacks up to 3 times

Dive- Dives fast towards the target and causes a miniature explosion on contact

Inject- Injects the stinger of the Fraylon into the target and flies off soon before dying

Numbers Subject to Change

Sorry if I went a bit overboard on the description

Also, I decided we needed something as annoying as the rollers and ospreys for the infested

Paralysis is probably easier, but think about hallucinations

Name : Pardosa ( aka thinlegged wolf spider )

Behavior : Move slowly on ground as it is carrying a nest of spiderlings on its back. Tenno have to shoot the spider itself to kill it. If the nest was hit, it will explode and spiderlings will be scattered around and seek the nearby Tenno. The spider will become enraged and speed up due to the lost of its babies. It will also gain the ability to move along the walls.

Attack ( Pardosa ) : It spits a cocoon of web to slow and damage Tenno when the nest was unharmed. Once the nest was destroyed, it will move at high speed towards Tenno and launch itself for a venomous bite to poison Tenno. ( corrosive ).

Attack ( Nest ) : Upon exploding, nearby Tenno will get stunned for a moment.

Attack ( Spiderling ) : Deals corrosive damage to Tenno.

Environmental restrictions : Places with water ( example Earth, Phobos )

Name: Spawn Pods

Behavior: Not really an enemy but stationary pods that hold growing infested inside, around the size of 3-4 cryopods merged together in a giant heart like pod. A few infested (can be specifically designed) are incubating inside seen through parts of it with translucent membrane. Other parts would be glowing and pulsing like a heart, perhaps one node for each infested.

Attacks: Pulse increases and explodes (dealing damage) when players hand around it too long (3secs?) or shoots it carelessly, releasing the infested inside with a rage buff (increased attack and movement speed). But if the pods are sliced open with slashing weapons then the infested inside slides out in a gooey mess and are downed before they move to attack the player.

Environment Restrictions: Size of the pods make it hard to place in corpus ships or small rooms so open terrain or a few tile sets designed to house them.

Maybe that have nothing to do with that project but here is what i think about a new enemy! it's not a bad idea to create new enemys for those three already known species but I personally would be for an brand new animal enemy. A 4th art/thing. An animal that goes in the direction of insect maybe? 64dncqti1r2.png

Name: Mentys

Behaviour: They behave aggressively and hunt everything they see. Depending on the level, they kill each other to get live, if they were injured.

Attacks: A scream so loud that it shattered glass, Sharp claws to break through the shields, spitting poison darts, absolutely toxic!

Environment restrictions: Living in icy areas. They are resistance against any kind of poison or acid. Their biggest fear and weakness is fire. Even electricity is effective against them.

Name Suggestion: Infested Exhaler

Behavior: Medium to slow moving (but faster than a walking Ancient) infested enemy that is Ancient sized. Prefer to station itself behind the rest of the Infested swarms to attack with relative safety. Lacks melee attacks. Looks like a Bombard from the waist down, but above that its heavily mutated. On its back is a third leg to keep it somewhat stable when it walks and attacks.

Attacks: The Infested Exhaler have two attacks;

Exhale Spores - After a period winding up period, the Infested start spewing out massive amounts of spores in the general direction its facing. A large cone type attack that cover a large area but which has about 10-20 meters worth of range. The Exhaler has can aim its stream of spores, but has troubles turning.

The damage is toxin and can proc toxin, but the damage and proc chance increases gradually the longer Tenno are exposed.

Unstable Body - If the Exhaler is killed but not dismembered and mutilated, its body will start expanding and eventually explode into a large cloud of damaging spores which linger for a short moment. The cloud deals toxin damage and can proc toxin and, like the Exhale Spores attack, the damage and proc chance increases the longer Tenno stay within the cloud. Desecrate can remove the corpse, hence removing the threat of the corpse exploding.

Environmental Restrictions: Heavily Infested tile-set that are quite small and indoors. They are not common.

Name Suggestion: Zipper (and Shockwave Zipper)

Behaviour:  The zippers fly about in a mostly silent way, lacking full control over it's part mechanical body, it is unable to use the legs for running so the pile of infested flesh that has taken root into this mechanical host has grown wings to accomodate it's lack of movement. Seeing this creature in the air is anything but graceful.

Attacks: The Zippers fly about and crash down on unwary targets with stomps and kicks that knocks down their targets by the sheer weight of their bodies, it can also ferry larger infested by carrying them on their legs.

Additionally if a shockwave moa is infested, the shockwave stomp can be replicated when attacking flat surfaces, so they will still be dangerous even if you manage to dodge their attack.

Environment restrictions:  Tight corridors and low cielings cripple these infested units greatly, they will still be able to charge headlong into their targets with full on body tackles but their massive wingspan will make these enemies into easier targets when they cannot fly freely.

(Optional) Art or Reference Images:

30ixgl0.png

(I have to excuse the shoddily made image, it's nothing but a rusted shockwave moa, a tumor, dragonfly wings and some moss put together by an excuse of a skillset, hope it conveys what I'm getting at atleast.)

Name Suggestion: Infested Predator

Behaviour:  Crawls on the ground on all fours at the same speed as infested chargers and/or volatile runners to camouflage and blend with the crowd, it doesn't have any actual camouflage or invisibility effect, her colors and actual design should make it so she blends with the other infested to make it hard to spot her. Once she attacks a player character once she would stand upright to fight in close combat.

Attacks:

One mid range "tongue" attack to knock player characters down on the ground, this attack does not pull the player towards her, it merely knocks the player down, she uses this attack while she crawls on the floor on all fours.

Close range blade attacks that deal magnetic and slash damage making her very dangerous for tenno trying to fight her in close combat, some of her combo attacks would also be able to knock players down.

Mid ranged spine attacks that deal puncture damage, she would use these spines to attack players as she chases them down.

Environment restrictions:  None

Art or Reference Images:

I'm no artist so this is S#&$, but i just wanted to show a general idea of what this would look like.

The infestation on top of a grineer scorpion should make it obvious at a first glance that it has the shape of a female enemy.

Name: Creeper

Behaviour: Formerly a Female Grineer(Ballista), this Infested unit has been mutated to the point where it has developed the ability to camouflage with it's environment. It is visible until it is alerted of an enemy's presence. It will then turn invisible (not completely), making a loud sound and creep up on the enemy, and attack it with high damage.

Attacks: This unit uses what used to be one of its arms (or maybe legs), which are now sharpened and swollen with strength and power(literally) to deal heavy damage. Kill it during its fade time, or you will suffer.

Environmental Restrictions: None. This is meant to be an addition to the light infested (Chargers, Runners, Leapers, Crawlers)

Appearance: Deformed quadruped, like its male Grineer counterpart, the Charger. Instead of having four legs roughly around the same size, one of its limbs has become sharpened and enlarged to be able to deal heavy damage. It is skinnier than a Charger due to it being once female, and has a flashing effect when it turns invisible. Also has ribs sticking out, but they hang underneath what used to be its face which is the right way up and located on the body of the creature. The metal tibia attachments on the legs of the Ballista have also fallen off/shifted to another part of the creature, and the legs have grown fleshy tendrils to act as the new lower legs of the creature.

EDIT: Added appearance section, to make up for the lack of a picture.

Name: Tuteurris

Behavior: Roaming enemy that follows you through the level. Stalks halls and rooms in constant pursuit. Can't be seen directly with reticule,

you must use your side vision to get a good angle. This is because it's invisible in the light. When they spawn, they notify you by letting out a soft sob. Screams loudly upon death.

Attacks: Stealthily creeps up on you and wait for the best chance to attack. Completely silent when moving. Upon being hit, it will teleport to another part of the room where you must search for it, while it prepares for another attack. Attacks deal high insta proc impact/poison damage. Attacks but either biting you with its mouth or lunging with its left arm very quickly.

Environmental restrictions: only found in derelicts.

Appearance: Shown to be extremely skinny, to the point of famine. Left arm is a giant scissor sword with red glow over it. Face is mangled and destroyed like picture. but has several glowing red/orange dots around the eyes. Has another hand coming out of his forehead. (Use pic for reference only, isn't how infested actually looks.)

Name: Supermutant

Behavior: This enemy, given the name 'Supermutant' is a mutated, and evolved version of the runner. Instead of simply running towards Tenno and exploding, the Supermutant charges in a similar manner to the Rhino warframe, and then proceeds to grab the Tenno and slowly crush them, while releasing a cloud of poison gas. The trapped Tenno must shoot at its tentacles from the mouth to be released. There will be a 2 second pause in which the Supermutant is staggered by the loss of its tongue.

Env Res: Since the Supermutant is around 10 feet tall, it can't fit through small spaces- only open world or big spaces.

 Name- Lasher

Behavior-  This infested moves moderately fast typically trying to stay at a close range. It makes sounds like a woman crying and then screaming when alerted. When at a distance will spew up acid (similar to a flame thrower) or drag its prey closer towards itself. When close to its prey it will frantically maul the target with its bladed arm causing serious slash damage. Take care of them before you hear the screams tenno.

Attacks- The Lasher has three forms of attack. It will attack quickly with a bone like sharpened arm causing serious slash damage causing its prey to bleed. When it is at a mid range it with spit out waves of acid (toxin) covering all in front of it and the ground for a short time causing DOT. The Lasher will also use its tentacle arm to grab and drag tenno close to keep its advantage.

Environment- The Lasher can be found along side any other infested. It only shows up after lvl 20 however.

Name Suggestion: (1-2 words max)

Libritor

Behaviour:  (max 200 words)

Similar to oxium osprey i.e. he is a flying/hovering enemy. Especially since in the case of ODD you can escape most infested by just staying at a height. This is so that you aren’t safe at high places.

Attacks: (max 200 words)

3 Main attacks

First: At long range, it will spit equivalent of toxic darts. These darts if they hit you ignore shields and do health damage. If they miss they create a small acid pool on the ground if you step into it will cause DoT.

Second: It will create a shockwave(air blast) by flapping its wings causing nearby tenno to be knocked down and disoriented upon getting up. Think hangover*100.

Third: When its about to die,

a) it will either dive bomb the player (only if the attack is sure to kill)

b) it will dive bomb the objective and explode in acidic gooeyness.

c) it will attack and consume a weak enemy to return to max health along with providing a temporary buff to nearby infested.(Buff can be elemental resistance, dmg resistance etc)

Environment restrictions:  (max 20 words)

No restrictions since it can hover. Max height affected by indoor settings though.

(Optional) Art or Reference Images: (Max 3 images).

Name: Spitter

Behavior: Prefers walls and ceilings but will attack from flat ground if no other options exist. Tends to be a bit cowardly when alone and near a Tenno and will try to flee towards safety or other infested. However, when other infested are nearby or when ambushing a Tenno it will attack viciously.

Attacks: It has two forms of attack base on range from a Tenno. At longer ranges it will shoot toxic projectiles with a high rate of fire and good aim, but not perfect aim. At shorter range is arguable its deadlier attack. When close enough to a Tenno and other infested it will shoot out a tongue and latch onto the Tenno and pull the Tenno back into the infested to get mauled. The only way to escape is to either kill it, cut the tongue, or get killed.

Enviroment: The Spitter is most at home in dark enclosed spaces where it can attack at ease and safety, but will not shy to move towards more open regions if the infested are on the attack.

Description: Not the best artist here but I think a good look for the Spitter would be a fusion of a moas and ospreys with a crewman for the biomass. Using the long and flexible moa limbs to grab and hold onto surfaces. Meanwhile the osprey's wings would be used for hosing the toxic projectiles. And the crewman's body being converted into biomass to fuse the entire thing together, acting as glue so to speak.

Name Suggestion: Infested Flyer (concept from Prototype 2)

Behaviour and attacks (within 400 words :)

Three new enemies of the same bird class:

All flyers have developed alloy wings that remove their vulnerability to fatal wing damage.

1. Batwing/Raven (image 1): A Bat/Raven gone infested. Weak, no ranged attacks, pecks at you and tries to bite off your face. Attaches to other body parts too like latchers and must be shaken off or will keep damaging. Will usually come in swarms unless really easy mission.

2. The Eagle (image 2): A medium unit firing Acrid darts from its mouth. They need to be in constant flight so will fire at you like planes doing a bombing run. At this stage attacks will be highly inaccurate. Occasionally it will claw itself onto a wall/ceiling and fire 4 acrid darts with very high accuracy and/or high proc/crit change.

1st attack: Acrid darts

2nd attack: Will pick up crawler type enemies in its talons and drop them directly on Tenno!

3. The Ancient Flyer (image 3): This is an ancient which has absorbed some birds as well as grineer and corpus and developed the ability to host birds in his own body for his/her protection.

Attacks: Fires Torid shots from its mouth. [OP? :D]

A. Can release a number of 1 and 2 birds from his own body.

B. Can fight you by meleeing with his wing-claws if you get within range. [Melee 2.0 yay!]

C. Can pick up ANCIENTS and drop them near Tennos. Can pick up TENNO and throw then into a mob of enemies.

Environment restrictions: If Batwing then will only spawn in dark maps where there is no direct sunlight.

Reference Images:

This may look like a copy and paste, but I'm terrible at art so please excusa-moi.

Name Suggestion:  Coalugen

Behaviour: Large, heavy unit, about the size of two Ancients walking together. Walks in a gorilla-like fashion, on long and heavy front legs and short rear legs. Movement speed is quite slow.

Tends to be found in the midst of other infested, protected by them.

Attacks: It usually attacks from long range, throwing a large and slow-moving toxic projectile that explodes with corrosive AoE, optionally doing higher damage on direct hit. If engaged in melee, it will flail its arms around - this attack is slow and dodgeable, but always knocks down, like a ancient's charge.

Environment restrictions:  This unit should appear in missions of level 22 and above. Also, since it is a gamechanger for infested, let's say only one of these can spawn at a time.

Appearance: Huge gorilla thing with broken grineed armor stuck to it. Large, ugly face with huge mouth to spit phlegm grenades.

one of my infested ideas are these tall skinny infested that scream really loud and if your near it it makes your war frame disoriented.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          my second is where are these small infested that jump on u sucking health from u and the only way to get it off would be like that jump smash move where u jump and press E.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                my third idea is say your in a full match and say one of the war frames die the person that died becomes a infested like only runners chargers and normal four legged infested
