Enemies Of The Tenno: Infested Submissions

 Name: Infested Swarmer

Behaviour: These jellyfish-like creatures can slowly fly above the battlefield, thanks to the secretion of a gas. They spawn in groups of 3-5, and they spawn often, so they can form large swarms. When not attacking, these creatures tend to stay a bit above Osprey altitude. When they prepare to attack, they do so in groups.

Attacks: When the swarmers come closer (approx. Leaper attack range), they charge up an electric attack for half a second, dive into their target (this allows for a melee approach) and then hit their target for a fairly large amount of electric damage. The electric attack doesn't have a lot of range. The gas they propel themselves with deals low corrosive damage to any of their enemies behind them.

Environment restrictions: These enemies would work just about anywhere, although I'd say outdoor environments would be best, because they fly and spawn in packs.

*It's only based on this enemy in Risk of Rain; it is not an exact copy.

Name Suggestion: (1-2 words max) -Diam (Latin For Biochemical)

Behaviour: (max 200 words) -Diam is a medium to fast pace Infested, a little smaller then ancients but much bulkier, With Grineer armor fused onto its skin, or possibly corpus shields fused into its body via shield generator from corpus MOA'S, It moves fast at first but as it reaches its target is slows down to a stop and hunches over for the attack.

Attacks: (max 200 words)-The primary attack for the Diam is duel Phage like weapons mounted on its back, as previously, it has to hunch over in order to fire its phage weapons when it comes into a medium to close range of its target.

Environment restrictions:(max 20 words) - None (Due to fusion of tech by corpus and Grineer)

Side note/Reasoning : the infested are mostly a hack and slash enemy, which is fun, but after awhile become more of a tedious task rather then a threat, with this unit the infested can bring some range into their ranks, Not long range, but a medium range.

Also, i have seen the bio chemical research in the Tenno labs and thought "hey this is research from the infested so why don't they have any of this stuff?" also i'm sure Tenno, Grineer and corpus alike have all fallen to the infested, and as a Bio species, it would makes sense that they adapt by fusing and absorbing tech from the fallen.

I don't have any designs picked out at the moment but let your imagination feast on this : your running down doing your ODD , you have your infested inbound, they rush, explode, disrupt, swarm you like crazy, you hack and slash your way threw them, but more keep coming , suddenly in the distance this hulking creature with grinner armor (maybe a Grineer face mask) moves too your location, but your stuck with these waves of infested that your just slashing threw, it suddenly knee's down or hunches over, you noticed two bright balls of energy on its back and they are aimed at you, IT FIRES! suddenly your hacking and slashing turns into a hopeless effort, Now you must make priority's, and bring this new creature to the top of this list, this infused infested who its ripping threw your shields and health.

Name: Infested Corpsewalker

Behavior: This being will normally hide out of sight or behind cover and wait until other infested arrive.  As it's allies are slain, it will enter their dead bodies and reanimate them as stronger versions of the dead creatures.  Dead enemies rise up as minibosses and attack the player from behind, adding another horror aspect to the Infested.  They can become leader enemies or command the infested masses to focus one Tenno.

Attacks: When outside a host, they can simply throw themselves at the enemy, infested style.  When inside a host, they will greatly empower the host, making the host much harder to kill and more dangerous to Tenno.

Environment: Only exist in heavily infested areas: Derelicts, new tileset, Lephantis area, etc.

So my friends and I are always talking about how Warframe needs some real heavy units, so here is my entry.

I found some inspiration online and came up with the general idea (dont judge too hard can't draw haha)

Name Suggestion:

Infested Behemoth

Behaviour:

Aggressive/Berserker, Massive, Slow but puts lots of force/weight into each movement.

Basically a huge infested heavy unit about twice the size of a Warframe.

Shows up one at the time in areas big enough for it to move around freely.

Massive pool of HP - Real hard to take down.

Attacks:

~Fit of Rage - Earthquake like attack caused by stomping and screaming - Stun
~Tentacle attack - Swipe/Slam/
~Tentacle Grab - Grabs player and causes constriction DoT. I would love to see the frames struggling/panicking to get loose.
~Claw attack - Slash damage
~Heavy punch - special attack! tons of knockback - will throw player across the room.

Environment restrictions:  Large size rooms / open

Name: Infected Ward

Behavior: Fly around the infected restoring their life slowly. Their sounds will probably be like the wings fluttering.

Attacks: No attacks but brings a little life regeneration to the infected.

Environmental restrictions: Spawn at infected missions, level 20 or above.

Reference: Some kind of Tzaphkiel but with the style of the game and the infected... A winged, flying eye.

Hope you like this little idea!

Name: Infected Tenno

Behaviour: Dormant and invulnerable in a cocoon-like state until approached by player(s). Hatches once you get close enough. Highly agressive, vicious melee opponent, who will attack anyone who gets in his way, be it friend or foe.

Attacks: Uses a melee weapon only, able to block all bullets from the front, still vulnerable from behind. Can only die from melee weapons or shots to a weakspot in its back.

Environment Restrictions: Well, no. I mean, its a tenno.. duh.

Picture time!

Name Suggestion: Frankenstein (or something similiar)

Behaviour:  A rather large and tanky infested stitched together from old Tenno parts, similar to how the crawler  is made from twisted grineer cadavers. It charges the players while slinging randomly selected Warframe abilities. Once close it will always activate a level four warframe power, though once this power is triggered it will no longer always activate it when in close range.

Attacks: Powers taken from different warframes, though obviously only those that make sense for him to use with his A.I., AOE's, bolts, and other offensive powers are best. He will always trigger a level four offensive warframe power the first time he closes into close range with the Tenno.

Environment restrictions:  None, part of the terror of this enemy is that he could be after you in a narrow hallway, only spawning him in the open would turn him into a footnote rather than a deadly opponent. He isn't a boss, but neither should he be something to ignore.

Name Suggestion: Swarm

Behavior:  Hangs in nest attached to the wall or ceiling, like a wasp nest or bat caves. Has poor eye sight like a bat and hunts with sound. Created from effecting birds and other flying creatures. Acts like bees when they are attacked, attacking with more once the hive has been attacked.

Attacks: They attack whatever makes noise. So if you are silent then you can go past without having to fight them. Once you do create noise they swarm around you causing you to flail your weapon around trying to knock them away then they hover around until you kill them. If you attack the hive first and it doesn't explode they attack in a larger number.

Environment restrictions: Any wall or ceiling, indoors or out.

Side Note: I just like when I have to pay attention to more than just the ground. Also makes stealth/Banshee even more rewarding for doing what you do.

Name Suggestion: floortangle

Behaviour: This infested clings to other infested or to infested room parts. When an tenno/griner/corpus is near, the floortangle ensnares their legs. making them unable to walk or run. Since the floortangle is heavily armored on its upper side, once it is attached it cannot be hurt.

If no infested is near, it can slowly move by using its tentacles to drang its armored body about, it is by far the slowest infested when traveling on its own. There are two variants, normal floortangle and floortangle infect

Attacks:

tenno hold:

holds the tenno's legs in place, infested ancients can still knock the tenno out of it's grasp. The victim can still attack, but the floortangle will not take damage. jumping have a chance to break the floortangles hold.

infested call:

Once a victim is ensnared it sends out a call to all nearby infested for a feeding frenzy.

floortangle infect:

The floortangle will slowly infect the victim if it's hold cannot be broken. Once the victim is infected the tenno/griner/corpus will turn in its allies.

If the victim is a tenno, the player will loose control of the warframe until it is killed or mission ends.

Environment restrictions:  Derilict orokin ships only.

Name : Infested Mantle

Behavior: Small Floating Creatures (Either Osprey or Informer sized), quick movement speed, following either Infested Ancients or a Group of Infested Chargers. They follow these creatures and flee quickly if harmed. Must be taken out quickly with ranged weapons due to their speed and devastation of the battlefield.

Attack: While not a directly a damaging unit, these little creatures (codenamed Buggers) float with their allies and release a Wide area radial burst, when released anything inside its 40-50m Radius of Radial overloading energy causes any and all active powers to be deactivated. Example: A Vauban's Bastille is active and being used to protect a Cryopod on an Orokin Derelict Defense, this creature comes in and gets the power within its range, releases the burst, the Bastille is now null and the enemies are able to move again. Most effective against Trinity' Blessing and Rhino' Iron Skin.

Name Suggestion: Mimic

Behaviour: Mimic - big and heavily armored infested(probably was one of Grineer's Heavy soldiers) - is staying aside from the main fight, learning new tricks from an enemy.

Attacks: The Mimic's basic attack is "Seismic Shockwave", that he got from what he was before infestation. The main difference is that Mimic can spam "Seismic Shockwave" every 10 seconds, and range is 10 metres. The Mimic's main power is "Imitation" - this beast can "learn" ANY power that was used in 50-75 metres around him(excluding flying ones). But he can use powers he learned only if enemy is closer then 15-25 metres.

Environment restrictions: Even that Mimic is well armored against Tenno's fire power, he still avoiding open areas, preferring small rooms and tunnels.

Name: Shambler

Behavior: This amalgamation of bodies utilizes the armor of fallen heavy Grineer. It keeps patrols keeping many cannon fodder close to him as it emits a sent trail that makes the infested follow the towering monolith of corpses.

Attacks: When alarmed of the presence of a enemy, the beast makes a guttural roar that empowers friendly infested and draws more attention of infested from other rooms (increases spawn rate). But this creature is fully capable of smashing Tenno like empty corpus canisters and will go into a frenzy and attack Tenno relentlessly.

Environmental Restrictions: Has trouble going through doors and up to elevated areas (stairs).

Name: An'Kor (On Kor)

Behavior: The An'Kors hang from the walls and ceilings and wait for an enemy/Tenno to walk near. They have decent armor and are a bit bigger compared to a leaper but smaller than an Ancient so they will run from their enemy to a new location where they will hide again to attack again.

Attacks: When a Tenno/enemy comes in range they will dive onto the Tenno knocking them to the ground and having a high chance of getting an impact status effect (knock down similar to Ancient punches).

Environmental Restrictions: An'kor are highly susceptible to fire damage but (if possible) aren't effected by cold damage.

Name Suggestion: Infested Pherein

Behaviour: This infested tend to walk among other infested and rarely walks alone. This is because the Pherein releases a bunch of pheromones upon taking damage that frenzies nearby infested, giving them increased speed and damage which also stacks. (Highly recommended to kill this unit in one shot or when it alone)

Attacks: The Pherein is mutated from grineer powerfists so it has a large fist that can effectively smash your face. The Pherein also has a bunch of hideous blisters on its back large as watermelons and bigger containing the pheromones, these blisters break for each attack the pherein receives no matter where you shoot it. Popping a blister at close range will have the same effect as a Volitile Runner, it will explode and knockback for you my boy.

Environment Restrictions: It can be seen pretty much anywhere as long as its around friends/infested.

Name Suggestion: Mandara

Behaviour:  Infested giant hornet insect swarm.  Immune to all powers except those that are fire based.  Vulnerable point is the Queen that flits around at Regulator altitude.  Small fast target with low life.

Attacks: Homing swarm strikes Tenno (large shot, but slow and doesn't bend much.) Slowing them by 5% and making them more vulnerable to damage by 5%.  Debuff steadily increases if the Queen is not killed.  Getting hit more than once causes a stacking effect as well.

Environment restrictions:  Only planet based tilesets.

Art: Inspired by the Giant Asian Hornet (Vespa Mandarinia).  The one insect that scares the $&*^ens out of me.

Name Suggestion: Infested Hunter

Behaviour: Big and agile infested. It is very agressive, sometimes even harming light infested around him when he atacks.

Attacks: Blade like atacks, grappling (he grabs a tenno fast then proceeds to go far away from the battle to kill the captured tenno) and wall atacks (stays on the wall until the perfect time to atack then proceeds back on the wall)

Environment restrictions: None

Name Suggestion: Synapse Node

Behavior: The Synapse Node is an immobile infested ranged unit that makes heavy use of the element of surprise in order to attack. Owing to its immobile nature, they prefer to lurk on the ceiling, behind doors, etc. In addition, they constantly emit a low-pitch humming noise that is impossible to hear during normal gameplay.

Attacks: The Synapse Node has one, and only one attack. When a Tenno walks too close, it fires a beam of electricity that temporarily blinds him and does very high damage. However, the Synapse Node expends all of its energy in the process, rendering it incapable of performing further attacks.

Environment: Anywhere where they are impossible to see in time.

Name Suggestion: The Hunger

Behaviour: This vicious monster appears in missions where there were several deaths in a similar event with the Stalker or The Three Grustrag
He is violent, destructive, attacking and consuming what is ahead, attacking even other infested

Attacks: The hunger uses melee attacks that have innate life steal.
it is fast, determined and as acrobatic as a hyena, but never recedes or jump back
it is able to consume any enemy (killing him instantly) and even a fallen Tenno temporarily gaining their skills.

Environment restrictions:  Appears in missions with great carnage, like invasions, exterminations and survival

Name: Sat Thu (Or whatever, i don't really mind if you change it).

Behaviour: These fellas will act in a different way - instead of mindlessly charging their foes, they would become invisible and sneak past them, attacking the weakest ones from the back. With their sensible receptors they can even detect other stealthy Tenno, like Invisible Loki or Ash using a smoke bomb.

Attacks: First they shoot few poisonous darts at their foe, then attack with incredible speed (becoming partially visible) using their melee - a mutated sword-arm (also poisonous), using moves similiar to those from Tenno sword stances, which makes them formidable enemies. On some ocasions instead of charging themselves, they would fire a sinew rope and drag thier target close, knocking him down (like grineer scorpions).

Environmental Restrictions: None, they can be placed anywhere (but I'd suggest placing them on harder missions, or late defense/survivals - they seem pretty nasty for unexperienced players).

Looks: I'm pretty bad at drawing, so I'll leave this one up to you. I imagined them as smaller, athletic version of acients, with their legs containing some visible elements of Grineer armor, and their sword-hand resembling the Mire sword.

Name Suggestion:The Nest

Behaviour:  Basically there is a nest with eggs, and 2-3 creatures. If you kill one creature, from the nest comes 2 more. There can be 0,5 second for the evolving stage, from egg to a creature. And this multiplication is the danger, so if you dont kill the nest, only the creatures, at the end you cannot survive the wave of enemies. In a much stronger form, this can be a boss too.

This creature is based on the first Hellboy movie. :)

Attacks: Strong and fast melee attacks, like the crawlers have. Their health should be more than the basic crawlers, but less than the ancients.

Environment restrictions: If the nest is on a great, opened place, its too easy to kill it.
