Enemies Of The Tenno: Infested Submissions

I already saw that someone took something from Dark Sector, but as the Stinger is not what i'am after here iam ^^

Chroma

These creatures are known as Chroma in some circles. They appear relatively late in the game and are quite similar to their relative the Stinger. They appear as a hunched, metallic humanoid with many glowing blue stripes across their bodies. The head of the creature does not appear to have any eyes or mouth for that matter, making it a mystery how it produces its characteristic screeching/growling.

Like the Stinger, the Chroma attacks by launching some form of damaging particles from its forearms, albeit blue in colour, but equally as lethal. These particles can be deflected back at them by the use of the player's shield. If they are close to the player, they will sometimes leap onto them, initiating a Quick-Time event. If the player succeeds, the Chroma is thrown off. However, if they fail, the Chroma will decapitate Hayden. Should the Chroma sustain enough damage, it will glow red, allowing a finisher to be performed. This involves Hayden driving the Glaive into the Chroma's skull. Nice!

What sets the Chroma apart though is its ability to become almost completely invisible, making tracking the creature extremely difficult. The Chroma will appear to 'pixellate' before becoming invisible for a few seconds, often moving to another location. It does not seem to be able to stay invisible for a sustained period, as it will often reappear shortly afterwards, often in a new place. The Chroma bleeds phosphorant blue blood however, so a lucky blind shot can reveal its location.

And if we get to choose bosses:

Stalker: (May need a new name, maybe Stellio - means chameleon in latin)

The Stalker seems to be a very developed form of the Chroma, sharing some visual characteristics with it. It is very agile, able to climb structures with ease. Yargo describes the Stalker as "very old". The Stalker possesses the same "shifting" ability, the ability to turn invisible, as the Chroma. Also, like the Chroma, it bleeds phosphorescent blue blood. It attacks primarily with a large, bladed right hand (similar to Nemesis), which can kill Hayden instantly if he's directly hit. Also, the Stalker is able to spew out supercooled air, which slightly harms Hayden, even from a distance. Finally, the Stalker is able to launch slow-moving but deadly explosive projectiles. These deal massive splash damage, and will kill Hayden within a very large radius. The Stalker is defeated by deflecting these projectiles back with the Shield ability a few times after Hayden deals enough damage to it.

Name: Infested joker

Behaviour: Due to its humanoid form it tries to blend in with the other tenno using parts of warframes from dead tenno. It will only approach tenno from behind and only realise it has been noticed once hit (not exactly the brightest infested). Large health keeps it from dying in that one shot.

Attacks: If the the joker remains unnoticed (stays close to tenno for 10sec(using survival timer in my head)) it will pin a tenno and explode into a gas cloud causing poison damage to anyone that touches it. The pinned tenno has the only choice of using their secondary before it explodes (tenno friends can help remove it but they need to be fast!). In the case where the joker is noticed before it is able to pin a tenno it will either explode instantly or run away (RNG YAY!).

Environment restrictions: It will usaly stay away from large groups of tenno as it is easily noticed (start and end of maps). Once the group starts to separate (mid-map) it will single out prey.

Quick question: Will flashlights be viable in the upcoming infested planets? In some parts we won't be able to see them unless we use the flashlight. Also toggle for flashlight.

Name: Screamers

Behavior: These infest appear to be corrupted Grineer geavy gunners which have undergone heavy mutation due to the Techonocyte Plague. Their arms and legs seem to have been bent in the shape of a squid, so unable to move it shuffles along the ground, with its limbs trailing behind them in the shape of some macabre dress. They spend most of their time moving slowly around with their mangled bodies dragging along behind them, until they notice an invader in the area. Upon sight, and with surprisingly fast reflexes, they stand up on their tendrils and let out an ear piercing screech, alerting even far away infeseted to their location. It itself however, is not just the doombringer by sound, but by force as it lashes out with its own caustic bile, launched from its stomach to try remove the targets flesh, making corruption easier.

Attacks: The first thing they do when they notice you is let out a very loud screech by inflating their chest and exhaling, this can be stopped if you are able to do enough damage to it, however, but it does not give a very big window of opportunity. The second attack it has is a acidic spit, a very dangerous but short ranged attack that passes right through your shields and damages your health directly. It is powerful but it cannot use it often, so as soon as you can get it to attack you with the bile, avoid it and go in for the kill. It's last attack is to try and lash out at you with its limbs, though the damage is very negligible and you could very easily take a few hits without much worry.

Environmental Restrictions: Because their job is to wear down the victims, they are found anywhere where infected can be.

Name Suggestion: Stinger

Behaviour: The Stinger is a flying enemy resembling the Earth hornets: it alternates very quick  and erratic movements with brief pauses. It NEVER lands and is always airborne like the Corpus ospreys, but compared to those it flyes much faster, but it also needs to pause and hold still between every manouver.

Attacks: As the name says, this enemy uses it's stinger as weapon, "shooting" it to any hostile within range and causing poison status.

Environment restrictions: Since it's airborne, it has no environment restrictions.

Name Suggestion: Infested Minotaur

Behaviour: The infestation has mutated. Minotaur is the first robotic proxy to be infected by an electronic version of the plague. It is a slow unit, due to its leg faction being overrun by the malicious virus. The virus also dimmed its turret's shooting faction useless, but because it's still powered by it's core, it glows a blue light. The virus also created infected tissue around the Moa's body, making him not easy to kill.

Attacks: The Minotaur mainly uses its core powered turret to perform attacks. When in close distance, Minotaur continually bashes the player, dealing moderate damage per hit  and causes its victim a stunning effect. Minotaur can easily corner and trap the player making him a dangerous opponent.

Environment restrictions: The new mutation, to survive, needs a cold environment.

Name: Stumbler

Behaviour: Walking on four spindly legs and covered in sacs of pus, the Stumbler is a slow-moving Infested artillery unit. While they move slower than most Infested hostiles and are unable to sprint, they are capable of avoiding some projectiles with rapid hops to the left or right. They will approach their enemies continually from afar until they reach a moderate distance, at which point they hunker down and mutate their legs into heavy armour plating (akin to a Shield Lancer's shield) on all four sides before using ranged attacks. This plating blocks bullets and powers, but is vulnerable to melee attacks. As such, defeating them requires Tenno to either keep mobile in order to prevent them from setting down and shielding themselves, or to rush them from different directions and pick them apart with melee weapons.

Attacks: Despite its slow movement speed and moderate armour, the Stumbler is a dangerous foe due to its ability to launch heavy ranged attacks when in its stationary mode. These attacks take time to charge, gathering poisionous gas in large sacs before ejecting it forcefully in directional blasts that deal Viral damage. This blast of gas covers a wide conical radius aimed at a single target, and briefly lingers to cause damage over time.

Environmental restrictions: None, though Stumblers would likely only appear in Infested missions at lvl 15 and above.

Reference pictures: Ravager from Mass Effect (credit goes to Bioware and EA) has a similar appearance, but Stumblers would have legs found closer together under a taller, thinner base.

It's heavly armored, with large health, allmost like Phorid, but it's not Boss, or it may can be 3rd Infested Boss, I don't know. It usually hides on the ceiling, or on the pipes, hanging. It got fog around it.

Name: Reinfestator

Behaviour: As Orokin Race created the virus, some portions of the viral samples were heavily damaged when they were attacked by antidote molecules in a specially fermented for easier adaptation of personnel spaceship rooms and were convinced to mutate or die, so they evolved and corrupted theirselves at the same time. Reinfestators are giant biomass creatures lying on the floor, unable to move, spreading mutated virus around. The virus causes the infected to revive after death, having less vital power, but draws them more and more aggravated.

Attacks: None of the standart "bite". The only "attack" of theirs is reviving each lesser infected(except Ancients, the original virus holders, i suppose) unlimited amount of times, each time these undead got their health and armor weakened, but attack speed, damage and movespeed increased. A reincarnation process stops when Reinfestator is dead(cannot revive itself)

Environment restrictions: maybe no presence in open-world tilesets, i dunno. And no placements on ultra high unreachable spots, for balance's sake.

Well, not the very exact thing, but somehow.

Name Suggestion: Lephantis Strain

Behavior: Considered as a leader-type unit, the Lephantis Strain is covered with genes that can mutate other surrounding units into other Lephantis Strains (causes poison DoT for players). Just like Lephantis, it can only be damaged/killed by shooting its weak spot.

Attacks: Much like the Infested Chargers claw attacks, it also has lunge attacks farther and stronger than the Leapers (successful lunge akin to Radial Blast/Shockwave effect)
Environmental Restrictions: "Open-world" maps and/or the orokin derelicts.

Name: Banshee

Behavior: The Banshee is a medium sized Infested bird creature that can fly similarly to Corpus Ospreys. When alerted, screams loudly to alert other Infested in the area. When idle, hovers in place. Moves slightly faster than Ospreys.

Attacks: Has a screech attack like Phorid's scream, but only last for 2.5 seconds. Damage is taken every .5 seconds while Banshee is screaming and it has a slight chance to deal and Impact proc. It also has a long tongue that it can latch on to any Tenno in the area, dealing Corrosive damage over time.

Environmental Restrictions: Only inhabits the air, does not leave the area it has spawned in (guard dog mentality).

Name Suggestion:  Infested Chimera

Behavior:  Starts out as a small crawler-like infested, but when exposed to multiple enemy corpses it will begin to absorb each and every enemy body. This fate can be shared by Grinner, Corpus, fellow infested, and even the unluckiest of tenno that get downed near the monstrosity. The only ways to save tenno operatives that get taken in by beast is to slay the Chimera and revive the operative.

Attacks:  Vary depending on the enemies/ players absorbed this can range from a lancers rifle to a warframes ultimate ability.

Environment restrictions:   Despite being possibly the most versatile infested extreme temperatures will spell the end of the monster.

I don’t have an image but I trust DE can make something grand from the virtually blank canvas for this infested.

Yeah....so again, people who can draw have the advantage here...

Not true. Look at my post. ( https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/225734-enemies-of-the-tenno-infested-submissions/page-20#entry2619570 )

You just have to imagine your creature and all it is left is to find a pic on the net that present's him the most. And ocf, you could change up something to match the one in your pic

Name Suggestion: Infested Mimic

Behaviour: At first glance, the enemy appears to be an ordinary storage container or locker. However, it is actually a stationary Infested unit that will attack nearby Tenno. Returns to idle state after a few seconds with no enemies in range. On HUD radar, they would show as enemy units, and not the storage containers they appear to be.

Attacks: The unit seemingly unfolds to unleash a mass of tentacles that will whip nearby units with slash damage (perhaps toxic and/or viral variants as well)

Environment restrictions: Stationary, does not move. Only appears in areas where the objects they mimic/originate from are normally found.

Optional Art: An homage to the old D&D Mimic

Loot___Mimic___Monsters_by_Vermin_Star.j

*EDIT: Medium HP/Armor. I imagine these would not be as easy to kill as standard Runners/Chargers, but not as difficult as Ancients.

Name: Infested Enigma

Behaviour: Thoughtfully the Infested Enigma paces, haulting anyone in its countenance.

Although walking slowly it will regularly turn around very quick delivering a paranoid feel and a difficulty for stealth attacks.

Even when detecting an adversary, it will only attack if the enemy is right in front. The actual noise it emits resembles calm radio static.

Attacks: The key attack of the Infested Enigma is an aura surrounding it which disrupts vision and movement. This effect increases as one comes closer to the source. Fire rate of weapons will become slower along with movement speed. Said aura is permanent and will extend when vitality of the Infested Enigma decreases.

At a certain (low) percentage of life the Infested will focus its anger on the target that hit it last and will throw a wave of concentrated and harmfull "thoughts" against it causing a short stun and medium damage.

The thunder-like sound of the aura will not be emitted at the Infested but rather is the source the mind of the victim.

Effect of the aura can only be interrupted by stunning the Infested or oneself, revealing the true sound of the Enigma.

If one stands directly in front of the Infested Enigma it will (mentally) blast one away (4-6m) so be cautious at sneaking up from behind.

Environment restrictions: None

Name: Infested warframe

Behavior: stalker/specter AI, always appear in group of 4, they are those fail tenno infected by "Technocyte", reviv each other if they have a chance.

Attacks:  other warframe's skills, and all weapon that tenno have been used, they may cross-infection each other making those creature can use other frame's ability , evolution make them extreme fast(at least 2.5 speed and 2 time jump height than us) and lethal melee but also extreme unstable, so if they die they will become a "Technocyte" bio bomb- doing huge AOE and make every infector catch the blast mutation to these monster....of cuz, they are flaw mutation they will not be that lethal as the original edition

Here's my idea,

Name: Infested Hunter (bad name i know)

Behavior: He acts like the stalker, he shows up when a tenno did enough infested missions (random number of missions). Or when the Tenno completes the last infested mission on a certain planet. He can barely speak, he can't make a sentence, only series of words ( example: I've been looking.. Tenno... You prepare die!!!) He's slow and clumsy but he is faster than an ancient. He has a quite large health pool (depending on the current level of the mission of course).

Attacks: His frist attack is a charging attack, it's easy to avoid since you see him running at you, but when it hits, it does a lot of damage and also                    knocks down.

His second attack is a scream that will drain your energy pool to 25, so its not as much of a pain as the other energy-draining attacks.

His third attack is a ranged attack, he throws a series of bone-like spikes in a cercle or he locks onto tenno and shoots spikes in a rapid                    succession (kind of like a machine gun).

Finally, his fourth attack is a AoE attack, he jumps in the air and when he lands, he creates a small earthquake, while the earthquake is                      active, tenno cannot aim down their sights.

Environnement Restrictions: None :D

And sorry, i have no art, I'll leave that up to you, i know you have a better design than what I have in mind ;)
