Name: Incubator

Behavior: A bat-like infested that sporadically jitters around rooms and on walls averting vision of itself. Fast movement and never strays far from a pack of infested as if acting like a scout for the swarm.

Attacks: The Incubator acts as support unit with the ability to "infest" infected units priming them for when they die to release a chemical reaction inside them causing an explosion. When the explosion happens it works as an attractant that not only damages anything non infested but sending other infested into a frenzy increasing their speed, damage, and health. If the incubator is alone it will spit poisonous gas at its pray which lingers dealing DoT damage. In some instances the Incubator as a last resort will nosedive at its pray destroying itself while leaving it known attractant behind for its allies.

Environmental Restrictions: It appears on any map but mostly lives in dark enclosed spaces to hide and supports its allies as needed.

Name Suggestion:

Conglomerate

Behaviour:

Behaves similarly to ancients, but capable of taking cover, although slightly unsuccessfully due to large size. Created from a mix of a Crewman and Butcher.

Attacks:

Attacks with a mixture of heavy laser fire from one arm, using gun fused with body, and heavy melee attacks with blades on other arm, also fused to body.

Environment restrictions:

Large size makes unit unable to traverse gaps or jump. Very slow movement due to large number of legs.

Name Suggestion: Zuruka

Behaviour: This infested monster, the Zuruka, is product of infested chargers using broken pieces of the Zanuka Project. The are not able to use any abilities, since they have no energy. They are know to hunt in small elite packs only with their own (other Zuruka). They attack the Tenno on instinct craving for more parts, more fresh.

Attacks: They can only use melee as attacks, but they are as a wolf pack. Quick, agile, and as a group. They tend to focus on one Tenno at a time, making solo encounters a nightmare. Disrupting their formation is the best option to work with.

Environment restrictions: They tend to nest on ships, along with other infested. Closer spaces are their best since they can jump off walls as they evade. You will never find them on any planet surface.

Name Suggestion: Fokeru

Behaviour:  This poisonic little dude here tends to keep his hands clawed into the legs of his enemies not letting go until death whilst biting the victim, It stay's underground until you run past it and that is when a small blackhole kind of thing appears on the ground and then it brings out its hands and its head and snatches you, being too noisy will wake it up from its sleep otherwise you are safe. So don't make too much noise.. as long as you don't make much noise but since you tenno's wont know where there territories are I guess its not possible, so its a surprise. Staying in hiding for too much will also bring it out and one more thing, it shouldn't show more than its waist height, it looks like those things that is in hell in GOD OF WAR.

Attacks: Once it catches hold of you with it's fearsome hands it sends poison through you veins using its hideous teeth leading you to a horrible and painfull death unless, unless you kill it before it can do so. Its long range attack is it kind of throws stones not dealing too much damage but a big headache.

Environment restrictions: High places, water, sunlight exposed places, is weak against type "Fire" Guns, Can exist in 15-25 levels.

Name: Orbweaver

Behaviour: Fast, agile, toxic and deadly, but fragile, small, basically the size of a corpus crewman's head, can climb walls and traverse through ceiling. They don't run in groups, but instead are scarce and scattered around the mission. These are stealthy creatures and will attack from an angle or behind, if however you encounter them head to head, they'll try to flank you, circle around quickly, making it harder for you to hit them, they make quiet, "spider-y" insectoid noises.

Attacks: Will jump on it's prey form and angle as mentioned before and will inflict, not necessarily high physical damage, but toxic.
If an enemy is up close, he'll use his frontal limbs to deal slash damage.

Optional Utilities:
Utility #1 Can dig into the ground using his front limbs to hide and wait for the prey
Utility #2 Will sling a piece of sticky web at it's opponent slowing him down for a couple of seconds

Environment: Anywhere, where a solid, traversable surface exists (preferably in an infested mission)

Concept Art

Creature it self is basically an infested head with limbs stuck to it...

Name Suggestion: Infested Juggernaut

Behaviour:  The massive, lumbering form of the juggernaut moves with unstoppable momentum, not fazed by gunfire or obstacles. When it spots its prey, it will try to maintain distance to use its artillery-like attacks, resorting to using its huge arms only when pressed up close. Although big and hulking, the juggernaut is in fact highly intelligent, using timed attacks and maintaining distance to support the rest of the horde. Although it is tough, it is incredibly cumbersome, and is vulnerable to fire in the open part of its back.

This means that maneuverable Tenno have a much better chance of doing damage to the creature from above or behind. Careful maneuvering is needed, as the Juggernaut will protect itself from the front and sides with its physical strength when pushed. The creature itself is coated in hardened plates – an effect of the technocyte virus on its hide, making it practically impervious to all but the most accurate attacks from range.

There is a hint of malice in the Juggernauts movements that is not present in other infested, maybe due to the bulk of assimilated material needed to generate such a creature.

Attacks: The Juggernaut has two primary attacks;

Venom Bombardment – By hunkering down, the Juggernaut opens the huge maw on its back and vomits out a biological explosive which sails through the air towards the target. Upon reaching a close distance, the organism explodes, raining down acidic fluid like an airburst strike. This effect is similar to Hydroid's Tempest Barrage, so staying in the area of effect can be deadly, requiring the targets to move.

Slam – By rearing up on its hind legs, the Juggernaut comes down with its arms, slamming into the ground and knocking targets around it to the floor. It then follows up with various, heavy strikes from its limbs to take down aggressors or back away to start using Venom Bombardment again.

As a reactive attack, the Juggernaut will start venting poison (like an Embolist cloud) from its mouth when it gets down to 50% health. Although short ranged, it can cripple and even kill if the attacker does not back away quickly.

Environment Restrictions:  The Juggernaut is huge. Tight spaces are a no-no.

Behaviour:  (max 200 words)

Attacks: (max 200 words)

Environment restrictions:  (max 20 words)

(Optional) Art or Reference Images: (Max 3 images).

EXAMPLE:

Name Suggestion: Carbuncula

Behaviour: This enemy, codenamed ‘Carbuncula’, is stationary on walls and ceilings with a long tendril waiting to grapple any who walk by.

Attacks: This infested enemy type has a long tendril that can grab Tenno and pull them toward it’s toothy mouth. Melee attacks are the only option when grappled to kill the Carbuncula, otherwise your health will be drained until death!

Environment restrictions: Yes, only inhabits walls or ceilings, not ideal for open environments.

Optional Art: http://normalaquatics.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sea_cucumber.jpg

Rules:

1 Submission per user.

Submissions must be for INFESTED enemy type.

No bosses - these are for regular mission encounters.

No Reserving spots.

No breaking format/exceeding image cap or wordcount.

Post locks May 9th at 12:00 noon EDT!

Question: Can we submit a codex entry for our enemy if it's submitted?

Name: Infested Tank

Codex/Behaviour: This massive hostile will stop at nothing to attempt and demolish any who try to defeat him. He is last reported as to hide around locations that seem empty, to fool the Tenno, and decide their fate.

Attacks:This infested has a massive amount of health, about 1.5x or 2x more than an ancient. One attack, if you're from a distance, is a charge, slow, but due to the size of this enemy, it's almost impossible to avoid the damage and knockback it can deal. A number of attacks will be performed if it's at a medium range or close range. If a Tenno attempts to attack from behind, it will ground-pound with his foot, causing more knockback and slight damage. Lastly, it will imitate other attacks from other Infested, like an Ancients' smack, a Charger's sprint attack, but dealing more damage.

Environmental Restrictions: It will only stay around medium-sized areas, large, open areas, makes this Tank not so tanky.

Name: Reinfestator

Behaviour: As Orokin Race created the virus, some portions of the viral samples were heavily damaged when they were attacked by antidote molecules in a specially fermented for easier adaptation of personnel spaceship rooms and were convinced to mutate or die, so they evolved and corrupted theirselves at the same time. Reinfestators are giant biomass creatures lying on the floor, unable to move, spreading mutated virus around. The virus causes the infected to revive after death, having less vital power, but draws them more and more aggravated.

Attacks: None of the standart "bite". The only "attack" of theirs is reviving each lesser infected(except Ancients, the original virus holders, i suppose) unlimited amount of times, each time these undead got their health and armor weakened, but attack speed, damage and movespeed increased. A reincarnation process stops when Reinfestator is dead(cannot revive itself)

Environment restrictions: maybe no presence in open-world tilesets, i dunno. And no placements on ultra high unreachable spots, for balance's sake.

Well, not the very exact thing, but somehow.

holy sh*t this is scary

Name Suggestion: Doppleganger

Behaviour: Codename "Doppleganger" it´s a highly advance corpus cyborg which origin comes from Zanuka project. With the difference that it can emulate, copy and reply the behavior of that warframe you are using and how you are using it at the moment.

Attacks: This Cyborg will be like a mirror, it will respond in the same manner if you attack. It has the ability to create blueprints of the equipment you have at the moment you are scanned so it will be more difficult to take him down just by the fact it has your same equipment (this will balance the game since it will change depending on the equipment of the player at the moment) it will even be able to replicate your sentinel. If you are defeated it will continue to copy the other members of the party and continue to try to eliminate each one of them. The only way you can defeat it is by improvising the way you play by changing quickly between your weapons and play styles (secondary, stealth, melee, primary, etc.) Even if it seems simple it is no easy task.

Environment restrictions: Like Zanuka and The Grustrag Three you will have to be death marked from somebody in the lore and story from warframe to encounter them By doing invasions against corpus on grinner side or new types of missions against the corpus.

NAME SUGGESTION:

Pemancar Cahaya

BEHAVIOR:

Ultra-long range Laser sniper. (Yes, that means its a hitscan sniper with a unbelievable range. That's just what the Infested always needed. Deal with it.) Stays very far away from its victims. Limited mobility options. Moderately fragile/tough (Optimist or Pessimist? You decide!). Kill it quick or it will make you suffer.

ATTACKS:

Its main weapon is a ultra-high-power-laser fueled by various biological processes and assimilated technology, allowing it to run off solar power with extreme efficiency. It has extreme range in the vacuum of space, using it to breach the hulls of its victim's ships. However, its beam quickly dissipates in atmospheric conditions such as those provided by life support systems, severely impeding its range. It needs to charge up before firing, and the charging process emits an intense light visible from miles away.

It discharges its energy to create a bright flash in order to ward off enemies who are in melee range.

ENVIRONMENT RESTRICTIONS:

Yes, they have no place in extremely cramped interiors (Unfair to them). Ideal in open areas.

Alright... Just a simple suggestion, no concept art or serious design/mechanic plans.

Name: Pacifist/Lurker

Behaviour: Usually hidden on ceilings, crates, lockers, or just the infested spores on the walls/ceilings. Could also introduce some kind of new tile-set where the infected ship looks like something from the Alien movies. Whole walls turned into some kind of infected super-organism with particular spots where the these enemies "rest" (wait for pray).
Would be interesting for this surrounding to be dark and creepy. Also this enemy should look that way also. Generally would like to SCARE THE FU... Fusion cores out of the player. Players should also hear some kind of hissing or sharp cracking when near some of these creature or when inside a room in which they are hidden. Multiple ones should be present in the room and all of them should trigger sound effects to further confuse the player. Add in some tense ambient music to boost the effect.

Attacks: Sudden out-of-nowhere attacks manifested with loud and creepy screams. The first attack should just knock down the player. The creature should be fast and agile, kinda like Zanuka. Manifested with wallruns/ceiling climbing and just vanishing/blending in with the infected walls. General bleed and viral damage.

Environment restrictions: As I said, infected walls/ceilings, crates, lockers - no way of knowing which crate/locker contains this creature, also well hidden in the infected mesh.

Art or Reference Images:
I'm sorry if I'm breaking the rules but. I don't have any kind of art concepts or know pictures to reference it to. Make it creepy. Skull head. Empty eyes, or red energy.
Could be some infested version of the ?upcoming? Warframe pets/dogs. Maybe even insect-like. Would be interesting to have a flying version also.

Project information: https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/225737-enemies-of-the-tenno-design-project/

Please submit a design idea for a new Infested enemy type.

-snip-

Name Suggestion: Infested Undine

Behaviour: The Undine would always be moving towards the player due to their keen sense of smell, Even when players are unspotted, they will continue moving towards the players location. Their movement speed is similar to that of a walking runner or crawler at all times.

The unit would have health similar to the ancients if not 1.25 to 1.4 times their health. As their arms are very long (probably the width of a whole door way) which act as impenetrable shields due to the density of the biomass, the only way to defeat them is to shoot them from behind or to hit the frontal weakspots on their arms which would expose their body to damage for a short amount of time.

When other infested units that are small run towards the Undine, the infested units could initiate group behaviour by walking along with Undine behind their arms, or jumping over the Undine towards the player. If they are in group behaviour, whenever the player is close to the Undine, the other infested units would rush out to attack the player.

Attacks: At close range the Undine would use their massive arms to knockback players or stun them. Given how heavy their arms are, the damage dealt is notable and their attack speed is quite slow.

Their arms are very thick and filled with sharp bones which would increase their impact damage and slash damage. If the player is hit by the weakspot, or is close to the weakspot on the arm when it is shot, it would spew out toxic that would 100% proc the player that is hit by it with toxin or viral.

A secondary attack is a ground pound that has a small AOE which would stun the player for 3 seconds as well as pop all the weakspots.

Environment restrictions:  They do not appear in missions with fire as they hate fire.

Art(description): Although i have no art to propose, I would like to give a brief description to help the visualizing of the Undine better. They have three legs, two large arms that are 3/4 - 1/2 the height of an ordinary tenno. The width of their arms are about two shield lancer's shield in a landscape manner. The thickness of the wall should be atleast be about 1 to 1.5 meters thick. Their backs are hunched if possible and have a rather skinny body. The weakspots look like yellowish puss spots that appear randomly on the arm for a short period of time before changing location.

Name suggestion: Kaiju

Behavior: Acts like any sniper would, stay in the back avoiding close combat,

Attacks: Well his primary weapon would be the infested Synapse but insted of a continous elektric beam, he would fire them in high pressure shots able to reach further, but when you get to close he will also be able to use the synapse as we would a continous beam. so basically the synapse we use is just the Kaiju's arm cut off =)

Environment restrictions: It needs steady ground.

Name: Chaos Swarm

Behavior: Latched upon walls ,ceilings, and floors this nest, or pod sits and waits for unsuspecting prey to pass near it. Almost like an Arc Trap.

Attacks: This nest of vile infested insects fires swarms of deadly Infested hornets The pierce a Tenno's shield damaging their health directly rendering them defenseless.

Environment reactions: Like a bee hive It sits in the most inconvenient spots, it could probably just use the same spawns as arc traps. These creatures would appear in infested areas, and infested invasions.

Name: Infested supressor

Behavior:  this enemy is a heavy gunner grinner infested. Does an enemy with balanced characteristics. intelligence as a suppressor grinner with voracious infestation feature. His body feature are: High Life. with shell. making a hard enemy to kill.

Attacks: Able to provide fire suppression to support their teammates. If not controlled, they can tear through shields and health of players very quickly, especially in Warframes with light armor. Also be able to overthrow the nimigos with wave inpacto. blows in a row using melee with high damage.

Environmental restrictions:

Level 13 and above, spawning in Grineer, Corpus faction and faction Outbreak of infestation. (Any level) Making the game more interesting.

Description / reference
The body will be infested with spores of an infested heavy gunner. becoming infested suppressor.

You want a bone-chilling infested DE? Ok.

Name Suggestion: Freezer/Glacio

Behavior: When he spawns(shortly after a large group of infested) he will run at a normal infested speed but the second he sees an enemy he will start sprinting (with more agility then the other infested making him harder to hit) toward it and leap at a certain range on the target instantly without having to charge the leap first like the normal leapers. When he leaps there are 2 possible outcomes.

Attacks: Claw attacks freeze enemy for a few seconds. There is also a chance that if he comes near an enemy he will blow up and freeze anything within a wide radius (Other infested are affected by the freeze effect but for a shorter time then the Tenno).I was thinking of a 50% chance for a claw attack and a 50% chance for blowng up. However; if he is shot he will still blow up  but the freeze blast will be smaller then if he would blow up himself.(This is why he should be faster and more agile).

Environment Restrictions: Reduced spawns on missions with fire levels and increased on missions with ice levels.

Optional Art: Sorry,I am an ideas guy,not an artist.

NAME: Creeper

BEHAVIOR: The only Infested to act with subtlety, the codenamed "Creeper" manifests on the battlefield as a patch of Infestation near enemies, blending in with the corruption of the area. Sound cue before attack (labored, ragged breathing); extends out of the patch of Infestation, attempts to strike a vulnerable target, then recedes back into the Infestation, and moves the patch elsewhere or waits before executing another attack.

ATTACKS

WALL MANIFESTATION—If target is stationary/unaware, vicious overhead slash with one scythe-arm. If target is coming around a corner, horizontal slash with scythe-arm.

FLOOR MANIFESTATION—Wide, sweeping slashes with both scythe arms (AOE attack).

CEILING MANIFESTATION ("Guillotine")—Attempts to restrain target by neck with both scythe-arms. Target is disabled while restrained (can be interrupted by damage from teammates); after short restraint period, if not interrupted, instantly incapacitates target warframe.

In all cases, Creeper ignores shields (attacks health directly).

ENVIRONMENT RESTRICTIONS: Yes; cannot manifest in midair; movement obvious in open areas. Best in cramped corridors or hidden among horde.

Infested harp

Behavior

the infested harp is a infested flying enemy that looks like a harpy and likes to manly focus on the pet of a Tenno (sentinal).

when the harp is attacked it flys very fast in a zig zag, and when it's low on health if try's to fly away(not in zig zag). The harp is a somewhat rare enemy. It has high health but very low armor

Attacks

The harp has only melee attacks. The harpy will first Try to have most distance as possible then hit the target by flying at very fast speeds aiming at the target dealing high damage Then when the harp is close to the target it hits the target with fast speeds dealing low damage. ( increase distance = more damage) and when it is low on health it try's to fly away were the Tenno cant see and the harp try's to spawn 1 or 2

Environment restoration

The harp likes to have distance from the target and likes to go as top as possible.

The infested harp looks somewhat like a harpy.

Name Suggestion:

Jabbas (please)/Adaes

Behavior:

It starts of as an any size (preferably small) blob like creature made completely of some sort of goo. It does not have any humanoid features just looks like a round blob, and it is not very fast. When the Tenno shoot at this creature the bullets stick to its body and are then absorbed causing the blob to grow. This would also work for laser type weapons but the blob would grow quicker. This means that the blob can only be defeated in melee combat. The Tenno would slash at the blob causing it to split into smaller parts eventually so small that they corrode from the small amount of heat in the atmosphere around them. It is weak to fire damage but that doesn't mean a fire mod on a Soma is going to kill it. The only gun that would be able to kill it without melee would be the Ignis which does pure fire damage. This also means Ember would be extremely effective. The blob could appear anywhere, its goo lets it stick to walls so Tenno could find one right above them in battle. The blob is alone most of the time but if it is in a mob it can absorb the infested enemies around it and get bigger. Because the blob can absorb practically anything Tenno may sometimes find the other factions in their missions trying to fend it off while getting absorbed. Also maybe there could be a device that could suck up some of the blobs goo and use it as a resource in building things in the foundry.

Attacks:

The blobs basic attack is shooting out small (at first) bullet shaped amounts of goo that deal corrosive damage. As the blob grows from the Tenno's fire or other enemies the goo it shoots gets bigger, in more amount, and more powerful. If the blob gets big enough from either bullets or other infested it can start absorbing the Tenno making melee combat tricky. When the Tenno are adsorbed they are in a stasis and can not attack or move. It would be up to the other Tenno to save the victim. While the Tenno are in the blob it is doing constant corrosive damage, if the Tenno is in the blob for too long without saving the Tenno dies and can not be revived and its remains are spat out of the blob. If the Tenno do kill the blob before that the Tenno that was absorbed can then be revived by his companions.

Environment Restrictions:

Anywhere with a lot of heat.

Name Suggestion: Template

Behaviour: Templates are grineer that are created from the purest grineer genes. They are respected and feared, even by other grineer as they are the bodyguards and champions of the Twin Queens. They are ruthless and efficient at any range be it melee or range. They are heavily armored and deceptively fast. The Templates are always on the front line as both vanguard and siege weaponry of the grineer.

Attacks: Templates are specialized in heavy weaponry and switft movement. They wield either dual miniguns in each hand or a personal mortar for ranged combat, should the player dare close the distance they will find themselves crashing against the wall as the Templates will pick them up and throw them or even crush them against the wall or floor.

Environment restrictions: They appear only at the high level grineer tilesets where they protect critical objectives (for the sake of the game they would not appear in survival only on grineer defense at 40+ waves)

Art: (Im not the artistic type so I will only give a description ) The grineer Templates are a bit larger than other grineer heavy units , what separates them from other grineer are the clear markings of the Queens on their armor and the menacing miniguns they wield, They would wear a modified version of the grineer heavy armor with a black headpiece and armor they would have a reduced modifier on headshots due to heavier protection on their heads they would also have red eyes and a grenade belt that if you shoot it would deal damage to them and enemies around them.
