FoxFX
I've also worked on these other concepts: Dark Sector Expansions: https://forums.warfr...ector-missions/Infested Boss and Assassin: https://forums.warfr...er-the-afflict/Infested Boss with Counterable Finisher: https://forums.warfr...ntless-ravager/ Mission Mobile Sabotage: https://forums.warfr...-tile-set-only/ Corpus Boss with Finisher: https://forums.warfr...-suit-pillager/ Emergency Mission: https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/221328-mission-concept-emergency-attack-on-lotuss-home-tile-set/ And now comes the heart of this mission: Escort Mission Lore: Lotus: We have several times fought for Grineer or Corpus under certain circumstances. After many years of battles, we have been receiving unexpected support from both of these factions. Now, we are starting to see sympathizers like Darvo giving us a helping hand in this everlasting war. I am aware that both the Corpus and the Grineer have horded precious Orokin artifacts and technology in the most secure of facilities. It is time we put these sympathizer's trusts to the test. Be on guard Tenno; we cannot trust everything they say, but to recover what is stolen from us, we must sometimes have a leap of faith. The Mission In this mission type, the player(s) meet up with a supposed Grineer/Corpus Sympathizer in the beginning of this game. You are then prompted to travel with the sympathizer to the designated target while protecting him. Why bring a Sympathizer? In these missions, the Tenno will notice a few highly secure doors that they cannot by any means open. However, the Sympathizer has access to these secure doors. There are 2 types of doors the Sympathizer can unlock for the Tenno: The Objective Door and Optional Doors. The Objective Door is basically where the sympathizer claims is the location of your main objective. The Side Doors unlocks a room that usually contains extra loot/ammo and sometimes a rare mod/blueprint. There are around 3~5 Optional Doors, but the Sympathizer can only unlock 1~3 of these doors per mission and are not indicated on the map besides the Objective Door. Watching the Sympathizer and Unlocking Doors In the beginning of the mission, the players will have to decide on which of the players the Sympathizer will stick too. This is done by going up to the Sympathizer and pressing the [X] button to have that Sympathizer follow the Tenno. The Tenno that the Sympathizer is following has the authority to ask the sympathizer to unlock any discovered Optional Doors and the Objective Doors. The Sympathizer can be killed, but can also be revived like a Rescue Hostage. Optional Doors What you can find behind these optional doors can lead to the following: Ammo Health/Energy Orbs Substantial Pack of Resources Random Warframe Part Blueprint Random Weapon Blueprint based on Faction Weaponry Random Weapon Blueprint form Tenno Weaponry Random Rare Mod (rare chance) Objective Door opens your Mission The mission that your escorting Sympathizer leads you to varies: Mission to find a highly valued captive and rescue the said captive Mission to find top secret Grineer/Corpus data and steal it Mission to find a highly secured reactor core or a Grineer/Corpus project to destroy So in this case, the sympathizer will lead you to what it is the Tenno are looking for.... ....but.... Sometimes, but uncommonly, the Sympathizer ends up double crossing you and leading you to a trap Objective Door opens to a Trap!!! Sometimes, what lies behind the Objective Door is not what the Tenno is looking for. After opening the Objective Door, if it is a trap, the Sympathizer will then change form being an ally to an enemy and will try to kill you. What lies behind the Trap can lead to either of the following: A squad of Elite Corpus/Grineer laying in wait behind the door A Trigger Bomb that explodes when the door opens and inflicts a status effect on nearby Tenno near the door: Magnetic, Gas, A Status that reduces your Energy to 0, Blast One of the Grineer/Corpus Assassins: Harvester for Corpus or G3 for Grineer Once that trap door opens, the alarm will automatically trigger and this time cannot be shut off. The End... Regardless if the Sympathizer leads you to the actual objective or to a trap, you gotta get to extraction afterwards. Possible Ways to Obtain this Mission My original thought is to allow this mission to be obtained at a rare chance when you complete a Capture Mission in Corpus/Grineer areas or by supporting Corpus/Grineer in Invasion Missions. Another thought was to make this mission accessible as an Alert-only type Mission. The reason being I would prefer this mission to be uncommon is based on the rewards you can get form this. Quotes: [From Corpus Sympathizer leading you] Corpus Sympathizer: Well at least you got here on time. Follow me, I'll lead the way. Corpus Sympathizer: Seems we have found a secure door, but it is not the door to the objective. You want me to open it? Corpus Sympathizer: HEY! If I die, you will all be stranded in here and you will never get to find what you are looking for. Corpus Sympathizer: Ok, this is the door. I'll open it now so, get ready... [From Corpus Sympathizer if the door is the true objective] Corpus Sympathizer: See? I told you I was telling you the truth. [From Corpus Sympathizer if the door is a trap] Corpus Sympathizer: YOU MUTE BETRAYERS ARE TOO GULLIBLE! DIE! Conclusion Write comments and suggestions and check out my other concept works if you can. I will be posting 2 more concepts hopefully by today. Krion112
Interesting. Escort is pretty much a simplified Rescue, with a little more to it. The ending in which the sympathizer betrays you is intriguing, but there is a flaw in if they don't betray you: Why would you search out and find an objective, just to leave it? It would make more sense if when they get you to the objective, it would be a tile displaying some kind of project, like a window overlooking a Fomorian ship being built, or a room displaying the Corpus mass producing Jackals, and ending with the element in Spy in which you hack a computer and steal its datamass, being the idea that you're taking the information and planning on these new threats. Just food for thought, overall I think some if not most people actually do want an Escort type mission, and Escorts would probably be played more than Rescues. You do end up having to either rescue some captive, sabotaging something, or stealing enemy faction secret data. Of course, Lotus will let you know what the Sympathizer is suppose to escort the players to (and that is if the Sympathizer intends to).

FoxFX
Orokin bosses, as in living orokin? Something like Tenno-like Bosses with some Ability Immunity like Stalker. I say "Orokin" because these are bosses I'm creating to be only accessible in the Void. They are based on two weapons quite known. As for how they will be designed, well I'm also thinking of giving them my "Map Attack" idea where players will have to learn how to dodge (mostly with the roll skill and sometimes have to use the wall run to escape these attacks). PixelPhoenix
Great idea! You know, I think your posts aren't getting much attention because there is nothing flawed or anything we could really change to make it better. I bet 4 out of 5 people look at this thread, and then say, "Oh, this idea is great. Well thought out, there isn't any way I could respond to fix flaws or make it better without changing any core mechanics." Maybe not this exact wording, but you get what I'm trying to say. If you look at the responses that are actually on this thread, most are just "Great idea","This is cool" or something like that. No one really wanting to (Or needing to) change anything or fix anything, because its all fine as it is. /lightbulbmomentover Edited May 7, 2014 by PixelPhoenix

FoxFX
bumping Like to add a teaser for a hidden Faction born form the Grineer: Kela De Thaym: ...they just keep growing in number. One by one, the remnants of their flesh were torn apart from their armor. Their minds now stilted with metal and iron. Only the brain is left alone, but even I know that will wither away like any other of our brethren. They claim to be on our side, but even Vor is reluctant to call for their help. So, they turned to me. This...cult..that Vay Hek founded...was beyond his control now. Alas even I have decided out of curiosity to join them as well knowing that Tyl Regor will never be able to clone me anymore if I do this. ..."The flesh is the sin...the metal is our salvation." I now turn away the impending doom of deteriorated flesh to become machine. To become the next evolution of Grineer...to fulfill the promise of the SISTERS...I shall be the one to lead...the "Pure".
