Ghobe Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 DE, I have mixed feelings about this apparent unworthy of a footnote patch change. For those of you that don't know, once you've reached the maximum number of scans on a target type, it will no longer be picked up by the scanner or even be scannable(excluding the plants on earth). Now my mixed feelings. I loved the fact that I could scan things for a burst of exp on my low/unranked weapons/frames(stealth scanning heavy gunners so good <3), which can no longer be done. I understand that this is potentially an exploit, but the reward is so tiny in the big picture it's hardly worth 'fixing'. I can deal with this though. I loved the fact that I could see enemies through walls. This was incredibly helpful the first run of Rescue 2.0. Now I can't do it anymore and I'm pretty much forced to play Banshee if I want this ability, and then I'm staring at the minimap the whole time. I get this helps the Sonar ability of Banshee but man I'll miss this on my other frames. I can deal with this though. I loved the fact that I could see those damnable Earth threshcones and plants through the walls. I have no understanding as to why this was taken away other than it being an oversight. 12 scans is far from enough to actually learn all their locations. I can hardly deal with this. Please revert this change. And for those of you out of the know, you still get rewards from using anti-toxins. Which I don't have a complete list of rewards but let's just say one of them makes it worthwhile ;) P.S. I hate the day/night cycle. I always seem to be playing during the night cycles xD

KoshLovesYou Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 This fix was, in fact, done to make Helios useful. However, it has also nerfed a pretty important stealth utility/finding secrets tool Tenno enjoyed using. I've brought it up in threads the Devs have peeked in before, but hopefully they'll fiddle with this. Maybe make fully scanned entities a light wireframe blue, and make vital 'scan me' targets stay as the bright orange glow?
