# A Little Confused With Damage Calculations

## Question

lets take grinlok for example

grinlok has a physical damage of 119 with 60 impact damage, 12 piercing damage and 47 slash damage with a Proc Chance of 35% dealing a status chance from the 3 damage type (knockback, bleed and armor reduction)

so my question is:

does grinlok deal a constant damage of 119 for every shot? then be added by the status chance of whatever damage type kicks in? example hitting an infested, [physical damage] + [impact damage]*50% = [total damage with status chance] (119 + 60*50%) = 149

or the calculation of it is much more complicated where its damage on an infested would be [impact damage]*50% + [piercing damage]*50% + [slash damage]*150% = [total damage] (60*50% + 12*50% + 47*150% = 106.5). and the status chance is solely for the status debuff?

Ya, status chance is only the chance of applying one proc per shot (or rather per bullet -> multishot mods or shotgun spreads)

Damage 2.0 says the basic infested unit would take increased damage from the slash damage soo:

60+12+47*125% = 130.75
