I'm training with a friend that started a few days ago and I've been bringing him to some lvl 30ish maps to get levels faster, this morning when we tried it we just got destroyed in a lvl 20 mission.

I have 800 shield and 300 hp and yet I'm getting melted by lvl 20 grineers, what is happening?

My level 19 Supercharged Trinity, which equates to level 38 un supercharged Trinity, got murdered by one moa, one crewman on the entrance of Hades map.

And just last night, I just managed to kill it boss.

Trying to get people to play warframe is now harder than ever as they die to fast and dont have fun. A friend tried WF today and died 3 times no merc, i have a lvl 29 supercharged excal and i was losing health (I go for health and not shields like most people).

This change is good. You are not supposed to stay there in the open and take damage while dealing damage.

You need to take cover, be on the move to not get cornered / attacked from more angles. Know mob types / abilities and prioritize your killing list. Keep an eye on your shields, as soon as they drop under 50%, pull back and let them recover.

I have no problems soloing missions lvl30-40 on my Nyx (not defense, hate those, sitting in one place and whack a mole until the mole dies or you completely whack it). Yes it takes time, planning, and good awareness / reaction time. I can empty a whole clip from my lvl 28 Lantron *with reactor, loaded with crit chance, crit damage, rifle damage, rate of fire, lightning and fire damage) in a grineer to kill him, or 3-4 shot him with headshots, but I can 1-2 shot them with my sword (charged attack or jump and then finishing move). With elites am very very cautious since their damage is really nice and can chew through my 500 shields and 300 health in seconds.

And no, am not spamming Chaos and Mind Control, power orbs are random, sometimes you have too many but full power, other times you're on 0 and nothing drops for a while, sure they help me deal with dangerous situations, but every warframe has skills to do that in their own way.

This doesn't actually happen. All this damage buff will make players want to to is stack damage and health/shields even higher until they can play like they always have because they enjoy it.

Taking cover doesn't matter in Infested or Corpus missions - where you are often being swarmed by a large number of enemies that zerg rush you because their AI doesn't do much else.

Lets see your cover make a difference to a group of chargers that deal 300+ damage a pop.

You should go for more shield, but also try to keep health balance. 800 Shield and 300 - 400 Health is pretty much perfect. Shield regen so you don't have to worry about picking anything up. Health doesn't which is why shield is always prefer.

Reason missions are hard is because people just shoot wide in the open which makes you the primary target. You should hide behind things for your shield to regen and reload and shoot from behind cover if you're faced with a large group of enemies. Doesn't matter how powerful your mods are if you don't get behind cover you will die from tougher missions.

From this day forth I will never look at infested lvls the same way. Before they were my favourite enemy, but now I would only go there if I feel like I have too many revives left.

your weak! I'm soloing all the time with my new burston and sicarus on the higher lvls(earning mastery and these guns arent moded + slower fire rate than braton and AKLATO). and i got no problems whatsoever, sure they charge at your sheild faster, but we deserve it since the game was too easy. infact i like the challenge.

Still soloing Pluto without health.shield mods, only now I need to take cover against ranged enemies and do the usual bait and step with infested.

I'm sure a lot of people who specced their player skills for facetanking after the previous hotfix are hurting right now.

Did you misunderstand something?

Health and not shield on any frame apart from Frost and Rhino is suicidal. Don't really see much change in AI behavior yet but the damage definitely got buffed to pretty good level. Use everything as a cover, don't stay in the open, and bring fast deflection.

I forgot to mention, I have a maxed armour mod so health is more useful than shield. A pretty good damage level would mean that passing merc as a new player was possible, but right now it is barelt doable.

Still a big no my friend. Excalibur has 50 innate armor at lv30, even with max armor mod it's not going to be useful since your health can't regen like shield (rejuvenation is the only choice but I'm not going to use it over siphon). His 300 shield literally gone within 2 second from 3-5 crewmen at level 25-30.

I play him with fast deflection, no redirection, no vitality, no armor. All you have to do is adjust a little from facerolling the level to actually use some covers and let your shield regenerate. It sounds like L2P argumant but we all have to adjust sometime.

Im stealth based so health is useful to me (320 shields because finding a shield mod is so damn hard!), If my shields go down my armour tanks the hits long enough for me to hide again. I agree shields would be a lot more useful for most people but not for me, beacuse if im getting hit im doing something wrong.

Now back on topic. Being a new player after this patch is a nightmare and will turn a lot of people off. They feel like they are not making progress and die a lot due to having any decent items. To make a game harder you should make the enemies smarter and not hit harder. Fighting a meat wall is tedious while fighting a smart enemy is hard.
