To Buy Or Not To Buy Hydroid!?

So, After a while without updates i was able to sell a lot of stuff and i did achieve a lot of plat, enough amount of plat to consider spending 300 in a warframe, i did the same with Zephyr, my question is in regards to the hydroid farming, is it really worth the long farm or i should just buy it? i usually play warframe around 2 hours a day which i don't think it's a lot but i have heard that farming for hydroid is really difficult and a lot of time needs to be invested, id truly appreciate the input specially from our pc big brothers who have more experience and more time with u13, thanks!

Getting the first hydroid part isn't so bad, but once you have one or two, your chances of getting the part you need drop.

Getting to Vay Hek can be challenging by itself, but then luck comes into play after that. It may require 3 runs, it may require 20 runs. RNG is RNG

If you don't feel like going through all that, buying him is probably worth it. I sold a rhino prime set for 300p and set it aside just for Hydroid as well, though I'm considering holding onto that for stance mods which may be even more of a pain in the &#! to get from what I hear.

Even if you do what I did and just get taxis to Hek and forego all that beacon-farming crap, it's still a pain in the &#! to get the parts you need. In other words, if you have the plat and are willing to spend, buying him might not be a bad idea.

in 3 matches I had enough for 2 keys almost. I had 2 friends with me so they also have 2 keys

Nah, I personally wouldn't ever spend any of my plat on a frame ever but then again, that's just me.

 

Just farm for the keys with a group of friends or ask the squad to share the keys after you've all acquired one or just ask for Hek runs. It's what I did for a friend, kept asking around for hek runs, never used a single key even though was quite time consuming waiting for someone to host it and in the end, it took me about 8 runs to do it for a friend.

Not to buy, isn't Hydroid the most expensive frame along with Frost? 

Pain to farm for maybe but 300+ plat for 1 frame is a bit crazy

Personally I would suggest you buy Vauban instead. He is also hidden behind an RNG wall (in a way) and is generally better at everything that Hydroid is actually useful for. 

 

Not to say Hydroid is a bad frame or anything but yeah.

Rhino, Nova, Frost and Ash are 350 plat in ps4, yeah, it might be crazy but there's also people selling malignant force for 500 plat and they actually sell it lol i sold a cicero set for 1000 plat (yes, i know, my soul will burn in hell) and i know it's crazy! i also believe that if you have the plat for it then you should buy it :) i truly appreciate everyone's opinion :) anything that is posted here is highly appreciated!

oh, i love vauban! i was lucky to farm him very fast! he's one of my favs along with nekros and valkyr :) i love how hydroid looks!

He's not that hard to farm. 

 

If you truly have no patience in farming the keys, you can always buy em for plat off the trade channel.
